The hotel, facilities, food, staff, location are all perfect.
We had a Superior room (most basic) and there was a huge bed, huge bath, huge shower. We were huge after our holiday as the food is fabulous - from the pizzas on the beach at 11am to room service at any time you want.
There is a wide choice of restaurants so you do not get tired of the food choices.
The bar staff can whizz up any cocktail you want.
I was sad to go and am now desperately trying to fund our next trip.
Would recommend Legends to any one.

Absolutely fantastic. We had a Junior Suite on all inclusive basis for our honeymoon. The hotel has a gym, tennis courts, spa, bicycles, golf driving range and cinema. There's no need to tip the staff as they have a box in reception that you can put into at the end of your stay. This box is then shared out at the end of the year.
Junior Suite is absolute luxury.
You must go all inclusive or you will spend an awful lot of money.
We also went on an undersea walk which I would recommend.
The trip to Iles Des Deux Cocos was disappointing.
At the Karma restaurant you have to pay for your meal whichever basis your are staying under. We found the food too rich with too many different flavours and were disappointed but the other restaurants were good:
Abalone - mainly fish restaurant on the beach, under the Grand Bleu bar.
La Bastide - Italian restaurant
Ginko - General buffet restaurant.

What an amazing hotel. We finished our honeymoon at Legends and we had a lovely time.
The weather wasn't that good that time of the year but everything about this hotel is class, the rooms, the food and the people.
I would 100% recommend this hotel and would love to go back again in the summer months but would go all inclusive as a JD and coke was around £10!

I can honestly say that this resort was the best I have ever been to. I spent 3 wonderful weeks here with my family (husband Lewis and our children Josh 14, Lauren 12 and Amber 10), and we've decided to go back next Easter.
We went for two superior rooms, and an all inclusive package (which we are glad we did, as food and drink would've been very expensive otherwise). The staff were all very friendly, and so helpful. We never had to wait for anything.
Unlike many other all inclusive deals, room service and mini bar were included in the price, as well as massages in the spa, two great day trips, some water sports and all the cocktails you could drink! The children also had a great time, splashing in the pools and enjoying some of the more child friendly water sports (as well as making great friends with the lovely boat house guys!).
The pools were both great, if a little cold, and the sea and beaches were beautiful.
Overall it was a truly special holiday, and I would recommend it to anyone- although it is mainly honeymooners there!

We went here for a family wedding and it is truly paradise.
The Legends hotel is built around the principles of Feng Shui, so is very peaceful and calm - an ideal location for honeymooners and those wanting a romantic getaway.
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff - as you lay on the beach the staff bring cucumbers round to place over your eyes to cool them!
Not really a place for children although we took our whole family and the children were occupied throughout the day with the massive range of activities - water sports, tennis, golf, games room etc - it is just as it says in the brochure.
A word of advice though - opt for the all inclusive package because there is nowhere to go outside of the Legends complex and the food and drink is terribly expensive to buy within the hotel if you are only half board.

Wonderful... that's the only way to describe it. This was the most romantic and beautiful place to have our honeymoon and we were very sad to leave at the end.
We had great flights with Emirates via Dubai and were picked up with one other couple in a people carrier and taken to the hotel to be greeted with cold face towels, a glass of champagne and a beautiful welcome.
The room was beautiful, overlooking the bay and not overlooked by other rooms due to the arc shape of the building layout and it all just got better and better.
The little touches and extras were considerate, very luxurious and the service superb. We tend not to be very appreciative of fawning or servile staff but Legends had the balance of extremely attentive service without crowding you.
My husband couldn't open a pack of cigarettes without a lighter appearing at his shoulder but at no time were the staff anything less than discreet and unobtrusive.
The hotel has a policy of a collective tip box for the end of your stay, so on an all inclusive basis you really are free to wander the extensive complex and have food or drinks as the mood takes you, in one of the many well appointed bars or restaurants without any planning or having to carry a wallet.
The range of activities on the all inclusive option was varied, interesting and we found that we had a choice of many things to do on any given day. Both the catamaran boat trips are excellent but very different experiences.
The diving trips were both very exciting and with excellent attention to safe practice and the care of the environment.
The spa treatments were relaxing and I would travel the distance again just for the coco scrub at the spa, we had this together in a shaded and very private garden gazebo.
The quality of the food was outstanding with very good choices on the extensive wine list too. Again we tend not to be too keen on the buffet meals at all inclusive hotels and the option was there not to do this, but the choices and quality was so good the buffet was well worth attending, just to sample even more of a range of wonderful food.
We tried all of the restaurants at least twice and loved them all for their different atmospheres.
Not all Western branded drinks were on the all inclusive drinks list (though most were) but we had a much more interesting time with the massive cocktail menu and champagne by the glass.
We took the cookery lesson with the hotel chef and as well as learning how to cook a great meal we got a tour of the kitchens and you can be assured of the standards of hygiene and food preparation.
Even Gordon Ramsey would have been silent and eating! It was all topped off by the seven course Yin Yang meal we decided to have on our last night ( we took nearly three hours over the seven courses and there were seven different wines and liqueurs to accompany it).
All the usual, functional bits were of a very high standard pools, bars, room service and laundry. The clothes came back beautifully presented in a wicker basket and I had a personal call to the room, to show me where they hadn't managed to get a sun oil stain out of a t shirt and asked my permission to give it a go with something more powerful- I could hardly see the mark but the attention to detail would make even my mother ashamed!
If you decide to go out for the day ask if the hotel limo is free (a day trip to the capital with a four hour wait was only around£2 more expensive in total than hiring a taxi (around £20).
Negatives: we didn't really find any - just make sure you take the all inclusive deal as the food and drinks are very expensive if you don't.
I would love to go back - and if we win the lottery we will take the whole family there to celebrate and stay for at least a month.
Our Honeymoon was more than we could ever have imagined.

We spent 3 weeks in Mauritius back in June and it was the holiday of a life time. We got married whilst we were there, and wouldn't do it any other way.
The hotel was out of this world, and the rooms were fantastic. There is a huge bed and a corner bath between the bedroom and bathroom with twin sinks and a massive shower.
We upgraded to All Inclusive due to the extensive package (which we were pleased we did as the cost of the drinks were very expensive). There is a mini bar in the room which gets filled up daily within the AI package. There are no restrictions in the bar as to what you can drink which is brilliant. Even room service 24 hours a day is included in the package.
The main restaurant served buffet meals probably 4 times a week and a set meal the remainder. The buffet is wonderful and served a mixture of Indian, Chinese and Mauritian food. One night a week they do a fish buffet which is great for the fish lovers, however I'm not one of those. The chef therefore especially cooked a steak for me instead which was fantastic. There are 3 other restaurants - Italian, Fish & A la carte. All of which are included in the AI package. The A La Carte restaurant served the nicest food I've ever had. The Italian restaurant also serves lunch so we mainly had that at lunch time whilst sitting on the beach via waiter service.
The staff were brilliant, and couldn't fault any of them. You were welcomed to the beach every morning by them cleaning your sunglasses and they would bring you cucumber for your eyes, mini pizzas for a snack, a cold flannel to cool you down throughout the day.
The wedding was beautiful. The wedding coordinator was very nice and went through everything with us before the day. We chose the flowers and the cake, and had a photographer and a videographer which were very good value. I had some beauty treatments done at the spa which was lovely. Everything was done to make us feel very special.
The water sports were very good, and all included again. The sea was very cold though!
We had a fantastic time and would love to go back again. It was very expensive - but worth every penny.

What a holiday! I returned (reluctantly) from my holiday of a life-time to starting saving to go back ASAP.
The hotel, staff & amenities where all that I was told about and more - nothing was too much trouble. As a single traveler, I was a little concerned, but everyone was so friendly. I went on an all inclusive package, which I must say I was glad that I spend the extra as drinks were very expensive.
I think I may have spoilt myself for any other trips I may take in the future by staying at this hotel, as I was spoilt by all the attention to detail (as well as having my sunglasses cleaning several times a day while on the beach). I won't give away any other little treats, so not to spoil the surprise if anyone is considering going.
My only advice would be go all-inclusive and to stay at this hotel.

We were originally booked at Legends for a week, after our week at Les Pavillons in the south of Mauritius. We moved back to Les Pavillons after 1 night at Legends as it didn't compare and wasn't what we expected.
Initial thoughts on arrival were that the hotel had a lovely drive and reception area and staff were all very friendly and helpful. Could'nt fault this. I was mainly disappointed with the room and view, we booked a deluxe room, which were in blocks, like flats, It had basic furniture a tiny balcony, cracked and dirty tiles and a filthy floor and the bed had scratchy sheets and pillows. We moved rooms after speaking to management and the 2nd room was just as bad. Maybe a standard room or junior suite are nicer than the deluxe? We went for the evening meal which was very busy, not enough staff and food was not very nice, although plenty of choice. Breakfast was the same really and on walking to the restaurant at 8am, majority of sunbeds had been taken already. The hotel surroundings are nice but beach and pool areas small and not paradise as you would expect in Mauritius.
If we hadn't gone to Les Pavillons, maybe we would have loved Legends as everyone else seems to do but I wouldn't go back.
