Park Plaza Hotel

We stayed here over the big boxing weekend - we were booked into the Thistle Cardiff but after a fire there - we had to change hotel. We booked the Park Plaza directly with the hotel and although the price for one Saturday night was £140 for a room - which we thought was rather expensive - after staying there - it was well worth the money! The location was excellent - right close to the shopping and nightlife - bars and restaurants were right opposite the hotel. We stayed at the Park Plaza for 2 nights over Easter. It is a nice property, beautiful lounge and in the centre of town. The rooms are large, the beds comfortable and the bathrooms are beautiful. The pool and jacuzzi were perfect after a day in town. Point for inprovement is the breakfast bar. It is unspired and needs to change daily to be a true excellent hotel. The parking accross the street is expensive GBP 3 per hr/ max 10 GBP a day. Adds up as there are no in and out priveledges. Cardiff is very happening place were young people... more
