wouldn't go back
We booked a double room with a travel agent in march but we were assigned to a room with 2 single beds. We were informed that no other rooms were available. The room (307) was small, dark and with a very poor view ( one window a roof top and the other right into the room next to ours !) The view from the restaurant terrace is fantastic and the breakfast was good. I was not happy with the cleaning service. I must say that the hotel position is fantastic, very close to Blue Mosque, Sofya, Basiica Cisterna . The staff was very nice except... more

Hotel Manager And Staff
want to thank all of the staff at the Hotel Saba for helping to make my first trip to Turkey so wonderful. I said first, because I hope to come back. You are to be commended for the hospitality and service you provide the guests at the hotel. Thank you all, Sincerely, Jurdan
My First Choice
The hotel is clean, the service good and given with friendliness. The help given in arranging pick ups and tours has been much appreciated. I liked the room, the chestnut free outside the window and the calls of Muzzen to prayers.I will recommend to others this hotel for its comfort, friendliness and cleanliness...
Not impressed! Be careful
We booked two double rooms and were given two twin rooms which in Europe is common but not with one bed on one side of the room and the other bed on the other side of the room. We were then told that they had no rooms left but later that day found other people checking in. In general the staff were friendly but be careful of the lady at reception as she just seems to be there to make money. At any opportunity she tried to sell you trips, she always tried to sell in Euros and when she converted to Turkish Lira she used inflated exchange... more

Excellent veiws over breakfast
The stay at the Saba was made by the friendly night manager, Baris, who is very professional & is very willing to help. The other is Abdulla, who works very late sometimes, but again is very friendly. Generally the staff are friend - but especially those two chaps. Do try and get a room with an window facing the outside as these tend to be bigger & lighter (I was in 104). I did see a smaller room (opposite to our corridor) & it was small. However, the hotel is clean & the breakfast is fine-sit outside on a warm day. The restaurant... more
Saba Hotel is good if you get a normal room
Saba Hotel is very close to Hippodrom and Blue Mosque, located in a side street cutting accross the hippodrom. The lobby is large, the breakfast is OK. The only thing you should be careful about is the type of room. Some of the rooms do not have windows opening to outside. OK , we understand that not all the rooms shall be at the front side. These rooms opening into the hole inside the building ( attached to the kitchen or chimney) were problem.
"Great little hotel"
The Saba Hotel - Istanbul "Great little hotel" I have used the Saba for a few year now and stayed there again in May this year, so have many of my clients, and the feed back has always been excellent. Best location in Istanbul, large and very clean rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful and always willing to assist you. Breakfast above average and a great view from the breakfast room, The Saba’s location is in a very quiet area of Istanbul yet almost next to the Blue Mosque so most of the tourist attractions are a few meters... more
Nice small hotel with excellent views and location
Excellent location, nice view from the breakfast terrace. Helpful personnel and basic, but clean rooms. Didn't have any problems with taxes or whatsoever.
Very clean, basic hotel with great location and view
I think this is a good hotel if you are looking for a clean room and great view but don't look for much ambiance or character. I stayed one night passing through town. The staff were polite but English skills were limited to the desk staff; it didn't cause a problem. The room was spotlessly clean with two single beds. The matresses are hard but I didn't find them uncomfortable. The room was large enough for both beds and a small table with 2 chairs. I wasn't cramped walking around. The bathroom was clean but older with a... more
Wonderful views
Ideally located for all the sites. We had front rooms with balconies that over looked the blue mosque and the sea. These were very nice. The breakfast area on the roof shared similiar views. The staff were helpful, spoke excellent English and made arrangements to get us to and from airports. Negotiated a very reasonable rate for a stay of seven days. would stay there again.
