Best Western Acropol Hotel

I came at the Acropol for the first time last June and once again, 3 months later, i can say it was a real pleasure to spend 10 days here. The general manager Ozhan and his staff were absolutely superb, so friendly, helpful in all occasions and polite. They made our stay the nice experience it was, as we both felt welcome and at home. Location: A good location, however, not easy to find if looking for this hotel on your own. Just behind the Blue Mosque, about 5 mins walking up or downhill. Hotel is cum a restaurant. Check-in staff: Ok, not as friendly as one would expect. Room was not yet ready, but was provided with a nice cooling welcome drink. not sure if it was because the room was not ready. I have spent a 4-day weekend in Best Western Acropol in Istanbul. The hotel was located right in central Sultanahmet Square and not far from the airport. Free shuttle bus was also great. The view of the bosphorus from the restaurant and the terrace is owesome. I really enjoyed my stay in Best Western Acropol and if I ever go back to Istanbul, this will be my first choice again.

Nice Hotel. Location is excellent in Sultanahment, 5 minutes walk to St. Sophia and Blue Mosque. Hotel itself is friendly, it's clean and good to sleep and relax. It is definitely not a 4 star and not worth paying anything over $120 a night. It is a basic, clean room but doesn't have frills to it. No turkish bath or anything. Although it does have free internet, a outdoor cafe and friendly staff. If you want a simple hotel to sleep at night and spend the day outside of the hotel touring, this hotel is for you. This for me was the perfect hotel to stay in for our trip to Istanbul. It was perfectly located and nicer than expected, full of character and friendly warm staff. I personally dislike hotels that are so standard that you could be in any country - this hotel is certainly not standard. The surrounding area is gorgeous and the Blue Mosque, Hagha Sophia and Topkapi Palace couldnt be closer. We stayed at the Best Western Acropol June 01-07, 2008. We are pleased to state that it was truly fantastic..! The location, the quality of food & beverage and most of all the staff made us feel very welcome and our stay was most memorable and enjoyable. We found the hotel in excellent condition. Warm reception, clean, updated, lovely furnished rooms. Staff welcoming and helpful. We had a family suite on the top floor, 3 corner windows with great views of Hagia Sophia and some of the Blue Mosque, with Sea of Marmara behind. The breakfast was very good, but never varied from one day to the next, but tasty and filling nonetheless. a disaster.... first... they didnt pick me up at the airport as promised... and didnt care when i finally arrived at the hotel.. a/c didnt work...management didnt care...told me to open the window... bed was hard as a rock.... could barely fit into the bathroom... booked a 4 night stay... left after one night... do yourself a favor and avoid this place... instead do like i did... go across the street to the best western premier suites... more expensive.. but worth it..

I would highly recommend this hotel. It met all my expectations and the location was ideal for walking about. The best part was the personalized attention we received from Ozhan. The roof restaurant was also exceptional !We used to spend our holiday time in Turkey and we were really happy to find The Acropol Hotel!

We've selected this hotel based on the reviews, we were not disappointed! nicely decorated, our room (406) was large, with a beautiful wooden floor. The staff is friendly and efficient. Just 200 meter away to walk; St. Sophia Museum, Topkapi Palace and the Blue Mosque. Many caffes and restaurants near by to the hotel. I would return with pleasure and will recommend it to my friends
