The food was good and the staff very helpful. the room was basic but not serviced. the bathroom was adequate but the shower needed attention and the curtain needed a good scrub.

I stayed in this hotel on a journey up from the south of England. I arrived late but the staff were very accommodating and helpful.
The hotel is no great 5 star affair, but certainly adequate and comfortable enough. Although I've stayed in cleaner rooms, this one was fine, just a little in need of decoration. The room was well equipped with everything you'd need foe an overnight stay, and the bathroom was clean and tidy.
I didn't eat at the hotel, so I can't comment on the quality of the food or the service. The hotel has a small swimming pool but I didn't use it. Not bad for a stopover.

We had a great 4 night stay here. Food was excellent and staff friendly. We were provided with a packed lunch every day and the kids had a good time in leisure centre. Only complaint was the sofa bed which was a bit uncomfortable, but for 4 nights we put up with it.
Ideally located for Metro Centre, Alnwick Castle and Newcaslte.
We would go there again.
