My wife and I visited the Swan as we had always been satisfied when calling for a meal or a drink. We thought we would treat ourselves for our annivesary and stay for a night and paid the Sunday night rate of £130 for B&B. The room was very small and the toilet seat was not secured to the toilet and the bed cover was stained with coffee stains which both points should have been obvious to room service staff when cleaning the room. This is not what we expected from a treat to us of staying in what we thought a high class hotel

Was a lovely hotel with excellent surroundings in the Lake District.
Rooms were of a very high standard and the food and service was excellent.
A good hotel and a good place for a party.
