A well located clean and tidy hotel but severely let down by the catering.

Also the Sky Bar appears to be run for the benefit of the staff rather than the guests. The staff seem to enjoy constant loud disco music and refuse to reduce the volume when requested by the GUESTS.

The hotel does not deserve its 4 star rating as this should not be given on location and architecture alone but on the overall standards especially the resaurant!.

Nearly every morning the one and only coffee machine broke down and when the hotel finally gave up they used powder coffee and a hot water urn - which they re-filled with COLD water. If you don't like sausage with every meal then only stay B & B and take along your own kettle and coffee grains for breakfast.

Ear defenders would also be useful then you could enjoy a quite drink in the bar and some peace at breakfast from the constant noise that the staff seem to call music.

I hope the rating is 10 high and 1 low as I have given them a 2 - in line with the number of stars they should have.

Do not use the minibar in this hotel!!!! We used it, paid for it after using it because we were on a tight budget and didn't want to be running up large hotel bills, it was not replenished once during our stay, in fact we filled it with soft drinks we had purchased outside of the hotel for our children!!!! Yet we were presented with a bill for 400 lev advised it had been filled up on a daily basis and threatened with the police when we disputed this whilst checking out with our 3 young children to catch our flight home at 3.30 am in the morning!!!! An incident which wrecked what had previously been an enjoyable holiday. Nessebar is a beautiful place and the Marina Palace a lovely, clean hotel although the food was somewhat bland and the spa closed but I will never ever stay there again after being asked to pay 400 levs for products which I had not consumed and threatened with the police at 3.30 am in the morning when I disputed this!!!!

Avoid like the plague !!!

We had an excellent stay at the Marina Palace for a week. Although the restaurant was not brilliant, particularly for my husband who is a vegetarian, the quality of accommodation and service was second to none. We stayed in a 1 bed apartment which was more than sufficient room for a family of 4, and was finished to an extremely high standard. The roof-top pool is not to be missed and went down well with the children.

The Hotel was well located and local transport and restaurants are so cheap, that it was easy to get to know the local area, and simply true Bulgarian cuisine. All in all a great hotel, and I definitely intend to return.

The hotel was excellent, a very modern hotel, newly built to a good specification. The decor was stylish and the rooms nicely appointed with comfortable beds.

The staff were friendly and helpful as far as possible but lacked training in some areas.

The food was terrible and we ate out most of the time, fortunately, good restaurants were nearby with good food reasonably priced.

We would go back to this hotel on a bed and breakfast basis.

The location was excellent.

No way is this a 4 star hotel, the staff were friendly, the hotel was kept clean, but the food was the worst I have ever seen and tasted. The food for breakfast was stone cold. There was no variety, the water for the tea and coffee was cold, dinner was always cold and very poor quality e.g. of four choices of main course one was chicken wings. One was chicken thighs, one was pork of very poor quality and one was lasagne need I say they were all cold, I know they say that cold food is a Bulgarian custom but the street cafes food is always served hot.

A 4 star hotel in accommodation and facilities, but has a diabolical restaurant, every mealtime guarantees a complaint of not enough choice, cold food, no tea bags, no milk, no water, no veg, and all greeted by a shake of the head. Simply the worst service you will hopefully ever get in a 4 star hotel restaurant. The Irish pub inside the hotel is the quietest you will find outside of Ireland on Good Friday. However the front bar on the main street(with peter, Nellie and daisy) and the rooftop bar(with drinks supplied by Mimi) made up for the inadequate training of the restaurant staff. Hopefully, the restaurant will get sorted for next year, as the hotel only opened in June improvements can only come in time.

I will be returning to Bg next week, and hope to stay at the Marina Palace..... but only on B&B accommodation.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in but probably the worst that I’ve had the misfortune to eat in.

I would recommend that if food is your main criteria the Festa Panorama, would be a safer option

but if your prepared to eat out then the Marina Palace is the best hotel in Nessebar.
