Zante Park Hotel

My wife and I have just returned from the Zante Park Hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpfull. The rooms are spotless and are cleaned everyday, the bedding and sheets were changed daily too. We didnt use the lounge area very much as there is little or no extraction fans and the room was so smokey that it was unpleasant. People are allowed to smoke anywhere in the hotel and at times it can be quite unpleasant. The standard of food is quite bad really, even at the start of the meal timings we found that the food was usually at best lukewarm, all meals including breakfast are served with lukewarm soggy frozen chips. I only saw mash potatoes once and there was only one day where we saw veg on the hotplate other than the usual salad veg. Probably the worst meals were at breakfast. The snacks provided at the poolside consisted of things like burgers and fish fingers.
The hotel is within about 10 minutes walk from the beach. I would recommend this hotel I think - but I would recomend that you do not do the food package, we think that was money wasted

Myself, my partner and our two children have just been to Zante Park for half term break, first impressions we were very pleased, the rooms were a lovely size, clean and well presented, the pool area was nice, food was acceptable and the hotel was full.
Our excitement did not last long, we soon realised that most of the staff were not bothered about providing good customer service. In fact most of them were rude, especially the bar man, if you asked him for anything other than something he poured out of a bottle or anything that involved putting the kettle on for you were told “No”. If they ran out of anything behind the bar it was not replaced and we were told the reason was because it was end of season. The children were made to wait over 25 minutes at times to be served their juice at the bar, when asked why he would say he was busy serving adults and the children could wait.
There was NO entertainment for the guests at all, when I asked at reception they said the entertainment finished last week. I asked how could they justify charging full price, probably even more being half term and only provide 1/4 the service of previous weeks, all you got back were blank looks or its end of season.
To make matters worse the weather was awful, now I know this was not the hotels fault but there was nothing for the children to do but play pool but on one occasion the managers were having a big conference and cut off access to the bar area all day. This is where the pool table is, when the children asked if they could play pool they were told ‘No, you can play later and not to go into the bar area’. I could not believe my ears, I was disgusted and made it quite clear, how could they cut off a whole area from paying guests to hold there big wig meeting but it fell on deaf ears they just were not bothered.
The visitors/review book was amusing; some pages were so bad staff ripped them out.
I am assuming the hotel is run better than this in the summer months because if not it would be out of business, but what gets me is if they are staying open for the last couple of weeks to squeeze the last penny out of tourists than at least have the decency to provide the same service right to the end and do it with a smile.
Personally I would never go back at any time to this hotel, I have been utterly disgusted with the service myself, my family and all the other customers received but one thing is for sure I would never recommend anybody go there at end of season.

A beautiful hotel, clean and well decorated. Maid service excellent clean towels and sheets every day.
Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Down side to hotel Pool area, the pool itself not suitable for young children, and very cold.
The restaurant staff not a friendly as the rest of the staff in the hotel, and if you are all inclusive you may find yourself eating out. As queuing for meals not to my liking and the selection was not the best.
Also local drinks were available but not bottled local only draft in small glasses, felt we were mislead (not big drinkers but do like a long drink on occasion) could not have more than one glass each.
Nice but would not stay there again as all inclusive (have had better all inclusive deals).

We have just returned from the fabulous Zante Park Hotel and we can do nothing but praise it. There was five of us in the party ages ranging from seventeen to sixty three and we all had a fabulous time.
The rooms were superb, very spacious and well decorated, the air conditioning was also superb as was the mini-bar! The staff were all very helpful, especially the reception staff!
We cannot understand how anyone could complain about the food as we thought it was superb. Each night was a themed night and all of the cuisine was fabulous (the Chinese theme night was certainly the best)!
We could not have asked for a better location, so close to the beautiful beach shopping facilities, many bars and close enough to the strip for the young ones!
Overall, we certainly would return to the Zante Park Hotel as we were all very impressed!
Thanks to all the staff for making our holiday superb and memorable.

My wife and I have just returned from a week at the Zante Park Hotel, initial impressions were that the hotel was very nice, this was confirmed by nice pleasant staff on arrival and well appointed rooms with excellent air condition system.
The rooms were spotless as was the case throughout the hotel.
Unfortunately the dinning on a whole lets a very good standard hotel down very badly.
The quality of the food was no better than 2 star standard, the choice of food was very limited, and far too many people crammed in to a dining room with tables far to close together.
On 3 nights of our holiday we came down to the dining room to find that there were no tables available and had to wait in a queue.

This prompted us to eat out on the other 4 nights of our holiday.
A 4 star rated hotel in many respects, but a poor dining experience lowers this standard considerably.

Good location for the main strip, great nightlife in Laganas. More for the older teenager and younger adults in my view, not a lot of entertainment for the younger person.
Food was average but was still nice, drinks were very strong which is a bonus as were free. Bar staff Georgios and Nikos absolute legends but very over worked.
Would recommend for people looking for gr8 nightlife but a quieter day time to relax around the pool.

Have just returned from 2 wonderful weeks in Laganas, staying at the Zante Park Hotel. It was rated as Highly Recommended by Manos and I agree. I read a couple of bad reviews after I had booked up, which worried me sick, but really it was fantastic. We were AI so we had brekkie, lunch, dinner and also drinks included.
It was well worth the money to do this, as all the food was excellent, a good choice, and good quality. The staff were fantastic, really friendly. The bar was great too. We got to know George the bar man really well, its possible the guys could come across as a bit sullen, as they are rushed off their feet and work really hard. But give them the respect you would like people to give you and it pays dividends.
The room was spotless, and clean towels and sheets put in every day. It was comfy, there was a big bed, TV with at least one English channel that showed films most nights and a really good music TV channel. We had a small fridge/mini bar, to put stuff in if we wanted. The aircon was a god send too, you might find it only works in the plug at certain times of day, if so, switch to the other plug and it works continuously.
I have stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels in UK and America which have very high standards, I would say this lives up to those, and feel sorry for the reviewers that did not have such a good time. Laganas was fantastic too, we ate out sometimes, Mary's Place opposite Zante Park doesn't look like much from the outside but has some of the best food I've ever tasted - try it! We completely fell in love with the place and can't wait to go back.
Our party was myself (29 yrs) and my partner (35 yrs). We felt relaxed, at home and loved every minute.

My girlfriend and I have just returned from a week’s holiday in the Hotel Zante Park in Laganas. We travelled with Thomson’s and although the hotel is has no fixed rep, it was always possible to contact her. The hotel was very nice, with the rooms having air con, TV, mini-bar and a bath (with shower curtain!). The rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels left. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The buffet style restaurant was very organised and the turnover was good. Breakfast was excellent, having a choice of continental or English style food. Evening meals were again very good (the reception provided details of the days cuisine) with lots of choice. The pool area was always busy (as you would expect) but very few children meant it was really relaxing. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Zante Park Hotel is more a two star than four star hotel!
We thought that being a Best Western Hotel it would be good quality. How wrong we were. The rooms were basic - not clean at all. The towels were so thin grey and rough that our first port of call was the shops to buy our own. These towels were changed after speaking to the rep but the replacements were no better

Also we had fruit and wine in our room for our anniversary when we arrived on Friday - the plates and dirty glasses were still there on Monday and we had to ask to have them removed.
The mini bar was not replenished and you had to pay to play on the pool table with broken cues.
The food at dinner was cold and the texture gave us the impression that it had been there all day.
After 3 nights we decided to go elsewhere to eat even though we had paid for half board.
On a good note - the reception staff were pleasant and the pool was cleaned nightly.
Go to The Greek Islands restaurant on the beach for an excellent meal with local dancing and smashing plates!
