Just arrived back from this hotel and was extremely upset with our stay. The staff were rude and aggressive. The food was recycled meal after meal of course we ended up with food poisoning!
The pool is mostly in shade during the daytime so expect to have to pay for loungers at another pool bar or on the beach, there not expensive but it adds extra cost to your holiday. You would be better to eat out as often as possible, we found a great place on the beach called mama mia the staff were great and the food was even better!
If you must stay at the hotel royal, learn bulgarian first as the staff don't speak english.
Our advice, avoid at all costs!

Just got back from a week in Royal Beach Bulgaria with my fiance and absoloutely loved it. I will admit we were abit sceptical about the actual country itself but it is the new up and coming place to be at. The hotel is sooooo nice, we arrived early morning and the staff were so helpful, safe in the room complimentry, we walked in to find a plate of fruit, bread and cheese with a big bottle of water off the hotel. The room its self was huge and very clean. I couldn't believe how nice it was, by far nicest hotel i have ever stepped in! The food was lovely plenty to choose from, mind you it is not very hot. The only bad thing is that the waiters at the bar by the pool have no time for you and if two drinks come to 9lev and you hand over 10lev they pretend they do not have the lev change and simply walk off, this is the same in alot of the bars in sunny beach, just a warning. Other than that it was a perfect holiday. Enjoy!!

Just come back from an awful 5-day-holiday in Royal Hotel.
ADVANTIGES:
1.Big rooms with beautiful view
2.Bar staff - great guys
DISADVANTIGES:
1.Room cleaning (our room was cleaned only two times)
2.Bedsheets and towels - never changed
3.Food - not enough, same food every day, cold
4.Parking - not available parking lot
5.Reception - inadequate stuff
6.Pool - very noisy, full of drunk teenagers
We gave notice to our Tour Operator and they did nothing.
My advice: NEVER EVER go on a holiday in this hotel! NEVER EVER
