Spacious, very clean and comfortable.Hans and Magda were friendly and helpful, provided a good breakfast to set us up for the day.We enjoyed staying at this central accommodation and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Like others we were surprised to be bitten by mosquitoes that were rife in the canals, not the fault of the Hotel. The canals need clearing, surprised there are not oxygenating plants/fountains/pumps to get the water moving to help overcome this problem and there is a distinct smell of sewers all around Bruges. As there is a thriving tourist trade,I would have thought this was a priority. What is it like in the heat of the summer? That said,Bruges is beautiful, very interesting with something different around every corner---it's a Gourmet's delight, the Information Centre was excellent/very helpful. We particularly enjoyed hearing the pianist at the Hotel Navarro who also played with a Swing Band on the Saturday evening at the Magdalena Hall. Bruges should be proud of this swinging Band and Choir,it deserves more publicity and support.
