Stop Inn Hull Hotel

We stayed at this hotel for one night and were very disappointed. The description on the hotels website states that you can park either at the hotel itself or at a sister hotel nearby.
We were told on arriving that there were no parking spaces available and had to park our car down a side road in quite a rundown area of town. It also states on the website that you can go for a swim at the nearby sister hotel.
When we enquired about this we were told that the pool had shut down years ago, yet it hasn't been taken off the website.
The room was very basic and also very noisy, being on the main road through town and round the corner from the hospital made for quite a noisy night. The breakfast was basic and seemed to be sat under the heat lamps all the time, nothing was served fresh. We did leave breakfast till it was nearly finished but would still expect a bit of service.
All in all I would say that this hotel is in desperate need of a makeover as they are just not competing with other hotels in the area and we were pretty sure that the hotel was practically empty. The rates aren't bad but a new holiday inn express has just opened down the road and they are very similar in price. We were disappointed.
