Revere Hotel

We got married in Jersey and wanted somewhere special to stay, we chose the Revere after reading online reviews and were certainly not disappointed. The Hotel is spotless and the food excellent and the service is second to none. The staff were genuine and nothing was too much bother. There was 6 adults and 2 children in our party. We were visiting Jersey as a complete surprise for our daughter's 8th Birthday. From arriving at our hotel until the moment we left, we were all treated like first class . Sigi the receptionist deserves her own mention for being so helpful and friendly no matter what time of day we saw her, she was ALWAYS smiling and extremely polite,and the restaurant staff are wonderful, some of our party were vegetarians and also senior citizens and nothing was too much trouble. Booked this hotel for location and trip advisor reviews! My 1st review, joined before this break, wanted to take my wife away for a weekend, Fantastic Hotel, reviews spot on!! Stayed for 5 nights. Our room was spacious and clean. Very cosy lounge having log fires, All staff very friendly and attentive. The weather wasn't kind to us so an advantage that the hotel has 3 restaurants offering various fare enabling us to dine within a few paces. Tried 2 of the restaurants and very good food. Room well maintained during our stay. We liked the nooks and crannies feel to the restaurant for breakfast and evening meal. The street where the hotel is sited also has 3/4 other restaurants. Very charming, staff extremely helpful and thoroughly recommended. Room was small and did get rather warm but rates were pretty reasonable. My only gripe was the shower as it was impossible to regulate the temperature; the choice was hot or very hot.

We booked this hotel for a long weekend and found it everything we wanted and more. The room was excellent, four poster bed, beautifully decorated. The Candlelight restaurant served excellent food and was full of ambience, very romantic if you're celebrating an anniversary. This is one of those hotels you will either love or hate! You need to bear in mind that this is a town centre hotel, so there are no hotel grounds (only a small but very attractive courtyard with a small pool), and you can expect some noise from traffic etc. Outlooks from the bedrooms are also fairly unattractive, and the public areas have virtually no outlook. We first picked the Revere from the internet, and boy are we glad we did! If you want cold, sterile, modern,characterless, hotel living, don't book the Revere. On the other hand if you want old-world charm, individuality, superb food, great ambience, an excellent wine-cellar, a central location and, most importantly, wonderful staff, then the Revere is for you! the hotel was a 30 minute walk from the town centre.the hotel staff,my husband and i cannot praise enough.they were so willing in every way possible to make your stay most welcome.the hotel was lovely olde worlde.and a lovely open fire which was kept stoked up at all times by the waiter.the food was the best we've ever encountered and we will certainly be returning.friends have been on our recommendation and agree its like having a honeymoon all over again!!.what you see in the pics is what you get.we went in jan and ok it was snowing and... more

Nearly didn't stay here as we had read some poor reviews. However it is a fine 3 star hotel in a good position close to the seafront. Rooms were not overly large but were kept spotlessly clean and well provided. Staff were friendly and efficient and service was excellent. Breakfast was plentiful and well organised. Minor quibbles were that shower temperature was impossible to regulate so we gave up and had baths, also the soundproofing is not perfect, as is the case in so many other hotels of similar age and style.
