The Bella Luce Hotel

After spending what seemed like an age trawling through hotel websites looking for that perfect accommodation in our favourite place.....we found our hotel!! Late check out, beautiful rooms with off room sitting areas and dvd/cd players - all very important when you have a young child and an evening return flight!! We arrived at the Bella Luce - ........thats when the holiday started to go down hill....rather rapidly too. We stayed at the Bella Luce for 4 days over the May Bank Holiday and had a marvellous visit. the hotel has been refurbished to a very high standard, both in the public rooms and in the bedrooms and exudes quality and care. The staff were very helpful and attentive and the breakfasts were excellent. We ate in the restaurant one night and found the food and service were very good (even though it was very busy). Overall this is not a cheap hotel but you get very good value for what you pay.

We recently stayed at this beautiful hotel which has been restored to a very high standard. The restuarant and food was excellent and the staff were very pleasant. It really is a lovely island and I would recommend anyone who viisits Guernsey to stay there or at least go and see for themselves

We loved the Bella Luce! Our entire family came over from Wisconsin in the US, and we stayed almost a week. Adults and children alike enjoyed the fabulous atmosphere of this beautiful place. The service was tremendously good and the grounds and hotel are well kept. The location is great and there is so much to see on the grounds and in this old hotel. We can't wait to return!

OK, so it's not cheap and us mainlanders wonder why we pay so much to fly to somewhere where it rains, however, the Bella Luce is ideally situated for country walks and St Peter's Port. The bedrooms are generous in size, had a turndown service when I last visited and were generally clean and inviting. The little bar is a great place to while away an evening and the food is superb. I would prefer to pay the extra to stay here than a cheaper coastal hotel.
