looked lovely on website, booked 2 rooms 1 double 1 single for one nights stay with 2 children (1 teen 1 baby) rooms okay but not as posh looking as on website, very standard. bed in single room was hard as rock, bed in double room was soft and full of lumps, both had terrible nights sleep and woke aching and tired, aggravated back problem of my partner which made driving home next day 3 hours agony for him, bed looked like it had been there since 1970s! shower in double room wasnt all that great shower head didnt adjust as it was limescaled up, and bit fell off door seal. Breakfast on the Sunday was extremely disappointing, highcahir for the baby was old and extremely filthy, took us ages with wet wpes to get it remotely clean, seat was ripped and straps caked with old food, toast was okay, cereal choice ok, as a vegetarian i opted for beans on toast, wot a joke.... waited ages for it and was starving, when it arrived was arranged like some al a carte dinner... 2 slices of toast NOT BUTTERED with a table spoon of beans in the middle of it, i looked at it and thought wheres the beans , hardly an expense putting a large helping of beans on, they arent expensive !!!scrambled eggs were bit cold and not alot there, full english was okay but again not alot of it, when my partner asked the foreign waitress ( who looked like she'd rather be elsewhere and spoke bad english) if he could have some tomato sauce for his full english she had no idea what he was on about, she led him to the breakfast area and said we have 3 flavours brown sauce, vinegar and salad cream, full english is renowned for ketchup for gods sake !!! had to wait ages for receptionist to check out on the sunday, and they didnt ask us if everything was ok and if we had a nice stay , i wonder why !!! for the money id have sooner booked into a premier inn or travel lodge at least you know what your getting there as the standard is pretty much same in those places no matter what part of country you stay in...and the beds are comfy there....
