Best Western Granville Hotel

We stayed at the Granville Hotel last weekend. We had requested a nice room with a view before arrival , if possible, but when we turned up, the room was very small with a view of some industrial ducts facing an office block. Not nice for a romantic weekend away. There were no tea / coffee making facilities in the room or room safe. The staff were very unfriendly. We arrived in Waterford with no accommodation booked so headed for the Tourist Information Office. We checked out a few hotels in the area and settled on the Granville as it had the nicest rooms and we only paid 45 euros pppn. For that price we were happy with what we got ... the rooms were clean and we actually liked the breakfast (agree that they have the SMALLEST glasses in the world). Compared to other places we stopped in during our tour of Ireland this was about the norm.

We recently stayed at the Granville and as I had read the previous reviews was a bit weary, however I really liked this Hotel. It was very clean and fresh (most important thing to me) with spacious rooms. The staff were really friendly and the food was good. The room service was efficient however you may only be able to get sandwiches if ordering in the wee small hours.
