We are 60 plus, when l entered our room it had empty Larger cans and empty coke cans still in the bin, the tap in the bathroom was falling off the basin. Meals cold l felt these meals not suitable for people of my age, cups of tea cold and stewed, breakfast was no different... more

The hotel needs millions thrown at it. It is run down, the staff disinterested at best and the food so awful that it made you want to rush out and buy food elsewhere. Our room had a broken, leaking shower. My companions could not open their window and their TV did not... more

This hotel has over 30 windowless rooms in what used to be the cellars - horribly claustraphobic - with noisy air conditioning - NOT to be recommended! It's also full of coach loads of pensioners - not a family in sight. The breakfast was self-serve - akin to Butlins for... more

We arrived at the Grand Hotel just as it was getting dark, only to find there was nowhere to park as all the parking spaces outside the Hotel were full, so had to risk leaving the car in a loading bay while we took our luggage in and booked in, hoping no-one in the meantime... more
