This hotel is set in lovely ground in North Yorkshire. The bedroom we had was small and dirty, the bedding with the exception of the sheets, were very grubby, the head board so dirty you couldn't put your head on it. Electrical items e.g. lamp and kettle did not have up to date electrical checks, they had expired on 27.5.05.
The bathroom was even worse, dirty. Hair dryer falling off the wall, along with the wall paper, paint on the ceiling and was finished off with a strong smell of mould/damp. The breakfast started with a try of very dirty glasses for the orange juice, the rest I would describe as 'freezer shop' standard food.
At £110 per night for a double room this is not what we expected and would not recommend this hotel to anyone else. Fortunately we had only booked for one night. We would not have stayed longer.
