Villa Victoria Hotel

My wife and I just returned from an excellent stay in Nice. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The location was also a huge plus. We able to walk to the beach as well as the shopping areas and restaurants. The room was larger than expected for most European hotels and very clean but a little outdated. There was a very nice courtyard area to enjoy breakfast. We will definitely stay here again when you go to Nice.

We only stayed one night here but really enjoyed our stay. It's in a very central position, close to the shopping area. The reception staff were extremely helpful & the room was very nice & although our room was looking on to the Victor Hugo Boulevard we didn't hear any noise from traffic. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Nice.

We have just spent a fabulous long weekend based in Nice but travelling out to the other resorts along the Riviera. The hotel was very quaint and while our rooms didn't have a bath, only a shower, they were very well equipped and perfectly adequate. We had a garden view room which was very quiet. We also thought the breakfast, while very nice, was a bit steep at 15 Euros. Having said that, it was still good value overall. Stayed with husband and friends for 4 nights in March. The hotel was a good choice as it was friendly, clean and in a quiet and safe area. The room was comfortable with everything we needed and it was a bonus to have a tea/coffee tray in the room. There was a bath with shower head in the bathroom although the shower was awkward to use owing to its position. No matter though, only a minor grumble. For the second year running we spent New Year in Nice. This was the first time at Villa Victoria and we really enjoyed our stay. Bed & Breakfast rates are very reasonable, especially when booked via Expedia.The staff are extremely helpful, breakfast is good and the rooms are a reasonable size and even have coffee making facilities, trouser press and hair dryers - things you rarely find in French hotels. Above average 3* hotel in a quiet road but close enough to everything. We had a garden room, and although it was January, it was lovely to look out onto such a lovely space. The room was fairly large (for France!) and I think newly refurbished. Flat screen TV went down well with my partner! Little touches like free chocolates on New Year's Day and tea/coffee making facilities in the room put this hotel a cut above the rest.

Our room was gorgeous, HUGE and very clean. the hotel itslef is so cute, wonderful location, right near the water and in the heart town. My favourite thing was the front desk staff, especially Marlena (I think that was her name). They were all very helpful, warm, sweet people, just wonderful, and gave great service. Our room was fairly inexpensive too. I'd stay here agian in a heart beat. You will love it!!!

Central Location--very safe area--500 meters to ocean and 700meters to shopping and old town. Pleasant staff --very helpful and polite. The room was good size--I would not pay the extra for the garden view room. Overall good experience

Booked through Venere.com for 4 nights for my wife's birthday treat, The Villa Victoria was superb in every sense of the word. Location quiet, just 5 minutes from Pde des Anglais, 7 minutes from Station (when we found the best route!) wonderful staff, lovely room, A/C works, clean and view over beautiful garden which we used to recharge our batteries! Criticism, Breakfast is too pricey at 15 Euro each - but just get one along the way; I would like access to a Swimming Pool. Room rates were not fantastic, but I guess you get what you pay... more

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights with my husband in September. This is a good hotel in a good location in Nice. Only a short walk to the Promenade des Anglais, Old Town or the shopping district. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and speak excellent English. We are having a 2 week holiday in France and have actually found all reception at the hotels we have stayed in to be helpful and friendly but I would say the the reception staff at VIlla Victoria are a cut above.
