Please, whatever the price and whatever the saving - do not spend your precious holiday time in this disgusting hell hole.You maty think you are saving money by going all inclusive - you're not. The food is inedible - the drinks are very much from concentrate and taste... more

We have been transfered from another hotel as we have been told by our tour operator that Rea did not have rooms available for us (overbooking problem). The definition of all inclusive in the Rea Hotel is not the same as the common definition, it was a sort of full board... more

DO NOT BOOK HERE! And stay clear of the hotel website which claims a roof terrace (an area that has been abandoned for a number of years) I was unfortunate enough to stay at this hotel in mid July of this year. The transfer coach dropped us off and motioned towards the top of a steep incline, consisting of at least five sets of very steep stairs. We arrived at the Hotel at 04:30 tired, hungry and thirsty - we were not offered any refreshments. The room was basic with a balcony with low front railings wich if you somehow triped - easily done - coming out onto it, you would end up falling seven floors down!. In order to have air condition we had to pay for it. Due to our late arrival we overslept & therefore we missed our breakfast, we asked at reception for a Coffee and after a lot of humming & arring we were told we would have to pay for it although we was all inclusive! Upon arrival at the hotel checked in, we were tagged as we were on all inc rate! We went to the bar for a drink at 12.30am and told all inc finished at 11pm,so we paid. Upon entry to our room it was the worst room I have ever seen,no tv, no shower curtain,stains on carpets,no drawers to put your belongings in ,on air con,when asked I was told it was 5euros per night had to pay as the room was so hot..We chose to sleep in our clothes as we did not feel comfortable at all.Because the room was dirty and smelt. This was the single worst hotel experience of my life. We booked our trip having read some of the other reviews about the hotel and I cannot begin to believe that they describe the same location. The hotel is situated close to the centre of town (this is about the only plus point I can state concerning this establishment). The resort itself is a pleasant enough place. We Arrived at the Rea Hotel at 4:30 in the morning and we were greeted by a friendly face and a bottle of water, what more can you ask at that time. The Holiday had been book for us as a wedding Gift and Mum did well because we loved it, anything you can think of is just a short stroll away, the beach, the town (Shoppers Heaven), the bars everything right down the steps. The Family that run the Hotel are wonderfull, very friendly and polite would do anything for you at the drop of a hat, very nice people, the rooms are very clean...

First impressions......"oh my God" what have we booked????? 2nd day found bearings and found hotel to be in excellent position for all requirements........down steps and turn right to reach harbour, shops, pubs, clubs all just a short leisurely walk away, or down steps turn left and short walk to beach. Hotel...........Family run so all needs and requirments dealt with a personal touch and as soon as requested with nothing being too much trouble. Ideal for all age groups. Family Maris run Rea Hotel , welcoming and generous

Our pleasure at staying at the Rea Hotel was due to the family Maris. they run and old established hotel near the sea front with excellent views. The building is unusual but very interesting, the food is plentiful and varied. The service was top notch. We walked down to the Marina daily, we walked up over the town to one of the many beaches, the whole place was very welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Was in Agios nikolaos 25 years ago and stayed in Rea Hotel. Summer 2004 we wanted to come back and we've been very happy that we stayed in the same hotel (REA) like 25 years ago. The family Maris and the stuff of the hotel give us the time of our life. (Memories) The view from the 7th floor is breathtaking, just like you are in a plane. The service is very good. I felt like being young again.
