Splendid Hotel

My husband and I recently stayed at the Splendid Hotel in Nice. We found the accommodations to be charming and comfortable The view from our balcony, while not an ocean view, was lovely. We loved the breakfast buffet and enjoyed our meal overlooking the city from the rooftop restaurant. Would go back in a hearbeat!

I have just got back from a lovely stay in Nice. We stayed at the Splendid for 3 nights and I found the hotel to be excellent. I had researched many hotels in Nice and found the room rates on hotels.com for the Splendid to be exactly what I was after. Our room was clean and very comfortable; we also had a small balcony with great views of the city. The hotel is in a really great location, 5 minutes walk from the beach and a 5-10 minute walk from the main shops and restaurants. I can't fault the Splendid hotel... more

We stayed at this hotel with our 2 children in a junior suite Room was large with 2 seperate areas and a very large bathroom Fabulous view of the Promenade from our room Staff were very friendly and were very helpful regarding drives to take from Nice as we had a car, which we parked in their car park. Breakfast on the roof top was really nice and they were child friendly. We loved the location as it was not on the Promenade yet close to everything when walking Would not hesitate staying here again.

I stayed at the Splendid with my mum for my birthday at teh begining of June and we loved everything about the hotel. We had a standard room on the 5th floor and it was lovely. We flew with Jet 2. We landed at terminal 1 and as you come out of teh airport the bus was on your left - no 98. The bus cost 4 euros each and took us to the end of the road which the hotel was on and then it was a very short walk of less than 5 minutes to the hotel. Splendid hotel in splendid location....This is a modern and clean hotel situated approximately 400 metres from the main promenade in Nice and with in a few minutes walk from Nice old town and the main railway station...The facilities are perfect with the rooftop pool offering panoramic views of Nice the ocean and the surrounding hills...The food was also excellent and the staff extremely helpful....Cannot fault this hotel at all....When i return to Nice in the near future will be returning to this SPLENDID Hotel.Would recommend this hotel... more

This hotel is super - especially if you have the deluxe room. You get a balcony overlooking the town - with sea glimpses! Tea and coffee making, LCD tv, Fridge etc. The bathroom has a whirlpool bath and a bidet and the furnishings are lovely. It is all spotlessly clean and the hotel staff are very helpful and courteous. The breakfast room is on the roof terrace and you can sit outside a view the town. The food is good - although if this is not included in your room rate - at 16 Euro's it is a little overpriced! Nice hotel, about 5 minute walk from beach, 15 from flower market. Room was large, comfortable. Parking underground. Pool on roof was nice.

A good quality modern 4 star hotel with all the expected features in a convenient part of central Nice, near most things. The roof-top pool and jacuzzi are delightful. There is a pleasant roof-top bar (the only bar in the hotel) - if you can find the barman. The hotel seems to be aiming a bit at the conference and coach-tour trade; the old ground-floor restaurant with its shady street-side terrace has been replaced, horror of horrors, with a spa and fitness suite! Hotel Splenid was our first stop in france. We were there for 3 nights, and really enjoyed the room. The room had air-con, a balcony, and a fridge. The hotel had much the same feal as the Sheraton in Canada. Service was good, all staff spoke enough english Room was excellent, with a great balcony Roof top pool was amazing, and what an amazing view. We would stay there again.

Just come back from 4 nights at the Splendid Hotel Nice which we chose of the recommendation of the feedback on Trip Advisor and I must say we were impressed. The hotel was clean and tidy, in fact our room looked as if it had been recently refurbished. The staff were very friendly and helpful. On enquiring why we didn’t have tea & coffee making facilities in our room I was told that only the deluxe rooms had this, but the next day there was a tray in the room with tea & coffee facilities, free of charge.
