Hi, I went to Salou this year with my friends and it was AMAZING!! I am 33, and we all had a brilliant time, I was there with 6 other people ages 18, 28, and 50. 35, 30 and 60.
It was really good and had activities for all of us to do. The apartments were basic but in a great location right in the centre of Salou!
The beach was just a 10 minute walk away and there is a bus just down the road taking you to Pacha nightclub and Portaventura! I would defiantly recommend going there if you are in Salou! The same bus takes you to the water park which is brilliant as well!
The staff in the apartments are very helpful and friendly. however if your planning on staying up late at night on your balcony prepare not to get your deposit back as other people will complain bout the noise! There are computers in the bar area and a great entertainer, Russel, beware he seems to love the crack and threw me in the pool my first day. It was all a bit of fun though!
There are a strip of shops for about a mile. Which is great but they mostly sell all the same items! Beware I got searched in one of them as they thought I was stealing. They claimed it was normal and people get searched al the time. Which I was a bit hasty about.
Apart from this the holiday was brilliant! Lovely food, lovely place and lovely people! I would defiantly recommend Salou whether you’re looking for a family holiday, a young a lively one, or just a place to relax this will accommodate all your needs!

I loved international II! There were 4 of us girls, aged 17 and 18 and we went there for a week in August, our first holiday away! It was great! Really nice looking and great entertainment around the pool all day.
The main strip was about 5 minutes walk, with all the best clubs and the beach about 10 or 15 minutes walk away. The food in the apartments was nice and simple and cheap! Just down the street there is a bus stop taking you to port Ventura which was really handy.
Just 2 minutes away you could get a bus to Pacha which was great and free! We enjoyed food at "granny’s kitchen" which was cheap and had great large portions! Our favourite place to eat was "chippys" which unfortunately we only found on the last night! It was lovely food, as was boomerangs. The drink over there is really cheap as well. Go to the 20/20 off license for a cheap carry out!
The weather was really warm but on one of the nights there was a thunderstorm. Overall, it was great!

Checked in on 05 October 2006 for 4 nights self catering for a long weekend break.
Myself and my partner were very apprehensive after reading some unsavory reviews about the place but found it to be quite adequate and good value for money.
Wasn’t over keen on Salou as a whole but accommodation was not as bad as some people make out and we found the staff quite pleasant and friendly.

I'm afraid I can't be as positive as the other reviewers. Our room was pretty disappointing. Cracks and water stains on the walls and a bath that hadn't been cleaned in months. We stayed for a week and our room was cleaned once in that time, and that was after we complained.
Obtaining fresh towels was a fight and we found the staff to be generally unhelpful and in some cases quite rude. The entertainments laid on were at far too loud a level and I gave up trying to listen to my own mp3 player as it was drowned out even at its highest volume.
On the plus side, we found Salou to be a pleasant enough resort. A small beach and a much larger beachfront within a few minutes walk. Relatively clean. A selection of bars and shops very close. Prices for drinks and food comparable with Britain.
We flew back from Reus airport. Be warned - this is a very small airport with limited facilities. If you want something to read on the plane, buy it beforehand as you won't be able to buy anything at the airport!
All in all, a decent enough holiday, but we won't be in a hurry to go back.

We arrived at this hotel at 2.45 in the morning. Our flilght from Dublin Airport was delayed. We should have arrived in Salou at 5.30 in the afternoon. We had to land in Barcelona as Reus closes at 12. We were checked in by a friendly guy.
Our apartments were broken into the next day. We were 3 couples. The manager was not very helpful. We heard later that there is a lot of breaks inns in the area. However we enjoyed our week. But if it is luxury you are after forget it. They are very basic.
Only got towels changed once and beds never changed. But we got it for a bargain 240€ each. Would I go back to Salou? Yes. But not these apartments.

This was a last minute holiday for my husband and myself plus our three children and my father as well. We flew out on the 13th July from Dublin for 1 week. We arrived in the earlier hours of the morning and my first impressions when getting off the bus and seeing our accommodation was whoa this looks good.
When we got to our rooms they where very clean and basic but it was just what we where expecting. The pool area was quite nice and there was no nonsense about getting sun beds as the pool did not open till 10.00am so nobody could get up early and put towels on the beds to reserve them. The restaurant and poolside bar that served snacks was excellent and very reasonable.
The hotel staff and the entertainment staff where excellent and very, very friendly. The entertainment was also very good and there was something for everyone to join in. Its is an excellent spot and I would recommend this to anybody.

Returned last week from a 2 week holiday to Salou. Hotel was fine, very clean and tidy, and our room was cleaned nearly every day!
Rooms had air conditioning which makes a big difference. There was a lot of entertainment which is really good but means you don’t really get any peace at all! We had a couple of meals in the hotel which were reasonably priced and pretty nice too.
We visited the water park, Port Aventura, Nou Camp and Barcelona Zoo and all of these are highly recommended. There is also a nice Sunday market in Bona Vista which is well worth a trip. Had a fab time in Salou, although 14 days was a bit too long, 10 would have been ideal!

We came to Salou on the 6th of June for a week and we wished it was longer. Salou is a very friendly place with plenty to do. As we are students the hotel was perfect as it was a short walk away from the main town. There are plenty of bars and clubs to entertain yourself.
The theme park was only 20mins away by bus, it was very enjoyable. The Jeep Safari was also really good (no animals however - don’t make this mistake).
The hotel was very comfortable. The hotel rooms were spacious and very cool as you had air conditioning. The pool at the hotel however, was slightly on the small side, this was the only problem with the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful too. We wished we stayed longer! X

Salou was a very lively and busy city to stay in. It had exciting night life, lots of shops and wonderful restaurants/cafes plus beautiful beaches to lounge about in the day. The weather was fantastic. Port Aventura, a theme park, was just a short bus trip away from Salou which took about 5 mins to get there. The park was ace.
The rides were fun and the food places were reasonably ok. Port Aventura also had shops and had a few shows on every night. It's a great place to take the kids plus adults can have just as much fun! The hotel that I stayed in was generally ok. The pool was great and it had a good games/bar area.
The rooms were a little on the small side but we did get air conditioning (which you really needed) plus a little balcony. Overall the resort is a great place to stay in for a few days.

Myself and my family of 4 stayed in these apartments in the summer of 2004 for 2 weeks. We found the staff friendly and helpful and the apartments were immaculate. No complaints whatsoever.
We travelled with our children who were aged 8 and 16. Our 16 year old in particular enjoyed the resort, with all the friendly locals and nightly entertainment. We were worried at first about rowdy travellers and drunkards, but the Aparthotel is situated 10 minutes from the main street, which contains less than 5 bars altogether, all of which have a friendly family atmosphere.
I found the resort excellent for families travelling with older children, but younger children may not enjoy the heat or the lively entertainment. The area itself was very safe - my 8 year old son was able to wander during the day as he pleased and my 16 year old daughter enjoyed the nightlife without any dangers.
I would definitely recommend the holiday to young travellers, and reassure them that it is a very safe resort and also very friendly.

This holiday was totally amazing! I was away with a group of 5 girls and boys, all aged between 19 and 25 and I can honestly say that we really had a brilliant time! We arrived on the Wednesday night, at first I was overwhelmed by the heat even at night because I'm so used to cold conditions and am really not good dealing with heat waves. However the apartments were great. They provide free air conditioning which we kept on all the time, there was actually a point during the night where we got too cold and had to get blankets! But we didn't dare turn it off as the morning heat would have been too hot to handle! The first day we wanted to get a feel of the area, we took a walk around the main town, and went into shops and bars. Beware - you sometimes get searched in shops getting accused of stealing! I think it was our age that made us look so suspicious! There is a bus down the road taking you to the water park and portaventura for 1euro 40cent! excellent! the bus to pacha is free! and you could always hitch a ride off it to la pineda! If you are going to Pacha to the foam party, don't go till late, as the foam doesn't come on till 4am! A bit of a disappointment when you've been waiting from 12! However there is a cafe inside the actual nightclub! Superb! I would recommend going to Granny's Kitchen- the food is lovely however one of my friends had lipstick on the wine glass given to them! Which was a bit of a turn off. Chippys was also good as well as boomerangs! But I would definitely recommend eating out of international ii restaurant the food is lovely! They offer belly busters for breakfast which are really beautiful! The hotel entertainer is also amazing - he is so funny, and hot (for all you girls out there) he also goes out at night with groups of young people making the holiday even better! The apartments offer a lot of night entertainment for people of all ages, for example deal or no deal and beach nights! (we were actually the only people who came down in our beach wear .. which was rather embarrassing but we got free drinks! ) Happy hour is great for buying cocktails such as sex on the beach or san Francisco showboat! Beware - they always try to sell sangria (which isn't exactly my thing) but you might enjoy it! If you want ice go down to the bar with a pot from your apartment and ask them to fill it up - but make sure and give them a tip in their bucket and they will cheer and enjoy the craic! A group of very lively young people came into the apartment next door to us and were rather mad! They shouted really loudly and threw a chair into our balcony! They also kept fighting and shouting during the night which was quite annoying however Papa soon sorted it out! Papa is the security guard of the hotel- he came up to our apartment on the second night and told us that if we didn't stop being so loud at night we were not getting our deposit back! But he was really funny and sexy! And in the end up we got our deposit back and used it to buy a munch at the airport! Over all I would DEFINATLY recommend going to Salou and because these apartments are situated right in the centre of Salou they are great! In close proximity to the main strip! 10 OUT OF 10 BABY
