Hotel Horizonte

Spent 5 nights at Horizonte last week. Great value not only for the room rates, but also for the evening meal in the hotel which at 7 euros per head, offered a good choice and plenty of decent quality food. All parts of the hotel were clean and the staff friendly. We had a good view over bay from our room. The hill location is a bit of a drag but taxis are cheap and a rank is just opposite the hotel. All in all not a bad place to stay especially if you need to watch the money!!

Just returned after a 3 day stay. On arrival we were offered an upgrade to top floor with a jacuzzi for €10 per room. Great views over Palma. Not too many places close to the hotel to eat/drink during the winter so stayed in the hotel in the evening. Food in the buffet and bar prices very good value for money. There is an uphill walk to the hotel so it could be better to walk down the hill and get a taxi back. €18 from the airport and €6 from the centre of Palma. If you're travelling on foot - don't bother walking up the hill, you might never arrive! We had hired a car and although there is no hotel parking there is street parking available. The hotel was clean and the room we stayed in was a good size, the service was a little lacking but for the price you can't expect too much. The breakfast buffet was okay, the pool was clean and the view was excellent - so make sure to ask for a room with a view! Wasn't too impressed but for the price it was just right.

My wife and i took a weekend break, Saturday the 15th and Sunday the 16th of November 2004, the rooms were clean and tidy and we were given a room upgrade where we had a fantastic view of the marina. A number 1 blue bus from the airport will take you in to Porti pi for 1.80 euros from there if feeling energetic you can walk up the steps or take a cab for the short journey up which will cost you 2.50 euros. I do not recommend taking the tourist sightseeing bus for a trip aroud Palma as it is quiet expensive, they did not have commentary... more

there was 6 of us on a hen party so we really didn't mind the very steep hill to walk up and down every day but i would not recommend it to anyone who hates walking. The hotel was clean and friendly but it does advertise that they have 2 pools which was a bonus for us but on arrival we were told they had no pools whats so ever. we still had a good time but we would'nt go to the hotel again especially if it was in summer.

my husband and 3 children(16,14,7) stayed 1 night at the hotel.we were looking for a cheap overnight deal before heading off to the airport on the sunday morning after a 2 week villa holiday.On arriving at the hotel(had a rented car no problems finding the hotel) I was rather disappointed( taking in the tired hotel lobby) and wondered what i had booked my family into.Then there appeared to be a problem with our booking,we had already paid a deposit which hadn`t come up on their computor.The problem was dealt with quickly and with a smile.I... more

We stayed from 31.1.04 to 4.2.04 and found it as described by most reviews. The room we had was clean and in good order and maid service was daily. We had a viewthe port. We were half board and had dinner every night for only 7 euros each. It was palatable and the house wine was only £5 a bottle. We were grateful for advice to use the bus and caught the number 1 from the airport to Porto Pi.Got of a stop too early which was a little confusing. Hotel Horizonte Palma. I stayed there from Jan 11th to 16th. The Hotel is not the easiest to find first time, the easiest is to take the no 1 bus from the airport priced at 1.80 and stay on till you see the sign above the driver say Porto Pi. The journey takes about 1/2 an hour. Then grab a cab! The hotel is only about 1 kilometre away. The walk is steepish but not to bad, (travel light) there are two sets of steps but I found it easier to walk round by road, I am 69 years old. Hard to find, up a hill. Rooms were clean, but we had a bad view from our balcony. The breakfast was awful, I've never tasted anything so bad in all my life- never again

We had a girly holiday in the Horizonte in Palma for 3 days and it was one of the best breaks we have ever had. The hotel was extremely accommodating, very clean with fantastic views. It was a little out of the way but the taxis were next to the hotel and very cheap. We met the most fantastic people who really made our holiday and will be remembered for a long time.
