Radisson SAS Hotel

This is lovely hotel on the beach front. Only book the room with the sea view or try to get an upgrade to one for free. I stayed in triple room which wasn't big, but ok for 3 nights.
The hotel has god Sauna and hamman bath on the 7th floor and roof pool with great bar. The bar on the ground floor is also excellent and the staff are very chatty and do not hesitate to ask them what is on in town or around.
The restaurant was ok, I think it was nice, but didn't eat much after night of clubbing...I think there is a gym in the health club, but they actually charge you for access. Instead of the hotel restaurant head downtown for great French cuisine.
This hotel is close to the airport and you can take the bus if you are on budget. Cabs here are not cheap and expect to pay at least 20 Euros for any journey.

We picked this hotel because we wanted a room with a balcony & a sea view. The hotel is slightly removed from the main part of the town along the main beach road, Promenade des Anglaises.
Most of the other guests seemed to be there on business, so probably didn't mind the extortionate charges for everything (use of the sun loungers by the pool, expensive breakfast etc). But that aside, it was a good hotel & we were upgraded to a suite at no extra cost, so we had a huge room. The rooms had been recently refurbished in a bright, modern style with a lovely marble bathroom.
The rooftop swimming pool was a decent size & popular and there was a bar on the roof too, so it was possible to spend a relaxing morning up there.
