The ONLY review you need to read -
Before going away me and my partner were worried as this hotel hadn't had the best reviews (other sites) BUT... it was the best holiday we have been on.
The resort is 500m from the beach, you have to walk under the road as the train line runs along the seafront. The resort itself is quiet, with a disco and salsa nights but all of it goes off at 12pm.
The luna park is situated above the bar, whereas the club is opposite and quieter. The swimming pool is big, and we had no problem at all getting sunbeds. The resort was mainly full of Germans - but had no problems at all as everyone spoke good English.
Breakfast - ignore other reviews, there was ham, cheese, rolls, pastries, pancakes, beans, sausages, toast, melon, fruit and yoghurt.
Dinner - Pizza, pasta, chips, paella, lots of salads, rolls, and lots of puddings.
Down side - you cannot take drinks in, and its 1.70 euros for a bottle of water!!!!
Bar prices are expensive, but you are literally down the road from all the shops. Litre of beer was 2.70 euros (£1.60ish) and we ate a lot at a place called Melinas.
Loads of shops, lots of ethnic/tribal stuff which was good.
We did Port Aventura for a day which was FANTASTIC! Well worth going, we also did Castell Medievil which was worth it. Although the 2 trips for 2 of us was about £120.
We walked down into central malgrat and santa susanna, loads of shopping and a fantastic market.
The beach - not sandy, shingles but still lovely.
The train to Barcelona was about 4 euros I think but we didn't go - if you are going for 2 weeks its worth going to see.
The room was lovely, cleaned and new towels every day. Balcony with view of the pool, no noisy neighbours and very friendly staff.
We are going back hopefully to Salou, as this is closer to Port Aventura and a bit bigger although I would totally recommend the Luna club.

We found the staff very friendly and helpful right from the start and was consistant throughout our stay. The entertainment was low key but quite fun with plenty of encouragement from the entertainment manager. The food was lovely and a good variety, the only possible downside was the lack of waiting staff although this did pick up as the week progressed (it was near the start of the season).
A quiet, very clean and well presented hotel with delightful friendly staff ensured a desireable break.
