Furore Inn Resort Hotel

Nestled on the side of a mountain, overlooking the turquoise Mediterranean Sea is a most wondrous five star hotel, called The Furore Inn Resort. This was my third visit to this little jewel of a hotel, which is situated right in the heart of the Amalfi Coast. Furore is a tiny town, fairly unknown compared to it's sisters Positano, and Amalfi which sit to either side. I'm just about to book to go here for summer '05. I'm not one for repeating a holiday but for the Furore Inn my wife and I are making an exception! It's in a great location - for views and relaxation that is. It's fantastically clean and well kept and the staff are so helpful and friendly - Alfonso really looked after us last year and made us really feel welcome. My wife and I have visited the beautiful Amalfi Coast for 35 years and Villa Furore was one of our finest stays EVER!...including some other great 5 star hotels! We stayed three nights in October 2004. The hotel facilities include every amenity possible, including a first-class spa which I took advantage of for a massage and "Roman Bath." We stayed at the wonderful resort for four nights in September based on the reviews which I had read on this site. The resort is deserving of all the glowing reviews and did not disappoint me at all. The entire staff from the pool attendant to the general manager seem to want to cater to your every need. It is one of the most relaxing places that I have ever visited. We searched for ages to find the right place to stay near Amalfi, we found the Furore INN on the web and booked directly. After a 3 - 1/2 hour drive from Rome airport , we arrived, its on a cliff high above the water and has amazing views ! My wife and I just returned from our honeymoon in Italy, and can't recommend the Furore Inn highly enough. In hindsight, I would have had us stay twice as long at this world-class resort. During a trip to Italy which included several disappointing hotels, the Furore Inn was a real gem. The grounds are first-rate, the ocean view is truly stunning, the the staff is very warm (unlike the staff at many other hotels during our trip), the hotel food is excellent (including superb local seafood), and the 3 infinity pools beg you to jump in... more

My girlfriend and i decided to host our wedding at the furore inn and include a weeks vacation for ourselves aswell. The whole week and the wedding was fantastic - 3 great pools, a health spa, a gym (which to me seemed to be so pristine that i would imagine only i used it), great breakfasts (however one of the people i travelled there with seemed incapable of ordering what he wanted and ended up eating my personally prepared omlettes, no matter though another perfectly prepared omlette appeared as quickly as the shopkeeper in Mr... more

Just returned from the Furore Inn Resort on the Amalfi Coast after a great weeks holiday. From the moment we arrived and were welcomed personally by the General Manager to the moment we left, it felt as though there were more staff than guests in the hotel! The hotel seemed too good to be true ... and now that we've been there we know it IS true. Only 22 rooms (spacious and spotless), unobstructed panoramic views of the Amalfi coastline, quiet location that is secluded yet central, exquisite cuisine, a full spa, wonderful service, and all reasonably priced.
