Park Inn Hotel

My girlfriend and I spent out last night in this hotel before flying home to the US. The location is very convient to the airport and they offer a free shuttle service to the airport. The hotel staff were very courteous and most accomodating. I inquired about taking my rental car to the drop off point the night before our departure and the courtesy van driver offered to escort me to the location and wait while I dropped off the car and then returned me to the hotel. If you have to fly out of the Nice airport , I would highly recommend this hotel. They have a shuttle that runs 24 hours and they are very, very nice to Americans. I almost got the feeling they catered to Americans. The staff was very nice and helpful; they suggested us to return our car that evening and their shuttle could take us in the morning which was a 6am flight. We checked in and were shown a room with someone's luggage still in the room. Whoops. Long wait. another room. This had a damp spot near the front door which as the day went on became for certain the remains of vomit cleaned upinadequately. The room was way too warm. Meal atrocious with very loud music and a waiter with an attitude.

My wife and I spent one night here before flying home to the U.S. the next day. Everything was very nice. Our room with a queen-size bed was an adequate size and included a small sitting area. Our bed was excellent. Our bath area also was a good size with a very large, totally enclosed shower. Everything was very clean and the room was decorated in cheerful colors. We stayed at the Park INN hotel in Nice late august. The room we stay in was very nice, very spacious and decorated in an art-deco style, the rooms were VERY clean had a nice big sofa as well as the beds. We didn't like the fact that we could not open the window, but apparently you cannot near airport which I did not know, however the air conditioning was fine. This is a great hotel. The rooms are modern and clean. The pool and outdoor restaurant are well staffed and the food excelent. The staff are probably the most friendly and helpfull I have encountered. The free shuttle bus to the airport, shopping centre and restaraunts area of "le saint laurent" is fantastic. We chose the Park Inn, Nice, as a base for our holiday on the basis of previous Trip Advisor reviews. It is very convenient for the airport, being less than 5 minutes away and there are regular bus services from there to many other places. There is also a station at Nice St. Augustin about 15 minutes away by foot. The hotel operates a shuttle service between the hotel and the airport, railway station and a nearby shopping mall with a wide selection of restaurants. We stayed at the Park Inn for 5 days in March and were impressed by their care and attention to detail. Nothing was a problem for them- bringing us to and from the airport, even offering to drive us into the city centre. Staff were friendly, courteous and tolerated my woeful attempts at speaking French. We had two family rooms and both were clean, tidy and in good order. They were cleaned thoroughly on a daily basis. We've been coming for a few years now and we like it. It has changed hands a few times and the current owners seem to have upgraded the rooms somewhat. Rooms are generally good, the pool is excellent and the restaurant outside, by the pool is brill! The hotel offers a free minibus service into Nice centre, and also to the nearby airport. Some rooms have a view of the sea, some don't. The airport is fine - not too noisy (in fact you barely notice it!) Staff are also fairly helpful. Overall, a great family hotel!

Nice hotel, excellent staff, good breakfast, good location. One complaint is with the shower...what's with those European showers with half a shower door that allows the room to flood. I just don't get it.
