Good location, clean and friendly

I've been there for a week long vacation in July. The hotel has a great location, directly to the sandy beach and close to the Laganas city centre, yet far enough to avoid all-night party noise. The stuff is very friendly. I was pleasantly surprised by the food in the hotel. I have been to another Greece Islands (Rhodes and Krete) and the food in hoteles there was rather uneatenable. I have had all-inclusive in Galaxy Hotel and I Have to admin that they had best food in hotels in Greece I have ever eaten. The hotel is also very clean....

Great location

We stayed here all inclusive in August 2007. Very hot and busy. The location of the hotel is excellent right on the sandy beach front . It is only a few mins walk to the centre of town and the night clubs, this hotel is far enough away to not be bothered by any late night noise. The hotel had mainly Dutch guests but it didn't matter they were fine to get on with. A lot of small kids here with a Dutch kids club. The pool area is a bit small and crowded in high season and not much room between beds, plenty of space on beach...

Fantastic Hotel , been twice, kids and adults loved it !

This was the second time we have been to this hotel. We first went in 2005, our kids are now 12/13 (girls). We all had a great time at this hotel, the food is great and a very wide variety, you can try local food or if your kids are younger or the fussy type(!) there are the obligatory fish fingers and chips and all the ice cream they can eat. The benefit of being all inclusive is that you can try anything and everything if you so wish. The hotel is clean and tidy and staff pleasent and friendly. Range of all inclusive drinks was...

Best holiday ever

I have just got back from a week at this hotel and i have to say i loved it. There were only 2 things i didn't like - there wasn't many English people there but i expected that and our All Inclusive finished at 11 while the Dutch got to drink till later a bit unfair! The location was just fantastic right on the beach, a short walk to shops an bars. The room was clean, tidy, decorated nicely. Hotel facilities a little basic but thats how it is in greece the pool was nice, with pool bar right next to it so great for sun bathing all day....

Nightmare face to face

I turned back home abosolutely frustrated a tired from the stay in this hotel. We stayed there in 3.8.-14.8.2007 following the offer of travel agency which presented this hotel as ****, all incl., delicious food and great place to have a rest and recharge yourself. Nothing was truth. Thanks God that after several escalation to the hotel mgt we moved from the room No. 18 which can be easy called a jug (ground floor room, no window, only balcony doors shined by shutter, lowered ceiling, no ceiling lighting, oriented to sunny and...

Excellent food, clean room but...

Stayed in this hotel second week in September. Been to Zakynthos before and the beach is worth it. The hotel itself was exceptionally clean, the chamber maids are excellent, all in all everybody is nice. However, one or two of the bar staff need to learn some old fashioned manners, one in particular with a boldish head, over 30s I would say, was exceptionally rude - but perked up when he thought he would be getting a tip due to the fact we were due to leave at the end of the week. The galaxy hotel is a nice hotel, with great food and a great pool. However, it is mainly for German not the English. If you are a young person who wants to meet other English people, then other places such as the Cactus Apartments, Jimnys Apartments are other good places near the centre of Laganas. Laganas is a lively resort, the night life is hetic after 11pm till 6am. The best club is Rescue, which plays a good selection of Dance, RnB and Old Skool. The waterpark is not the best - with only 8 slides party people you may spend...
