We chose to stay at The Bolholt Country Park as I was attending a wedding.
I felt I had to write a review after reading one review that had been left by a previous guest. Prior to my stay I read this review and I was very put off.
After a two night stay I can honestly say the hotels standards are those of a four star hotel. The staff were absolutely fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for them.
The rooms were stunning, with views over the lake, the room was spacious and clean, you got much more than you would expect of a standard double room. The first night we had dinner in the restaurant which was delicious, great atmosphere and again nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
The night of the wedding went like a dream, the service was prompt and efficient
I would recommend this hotel to any one wanting to visit bury.

Very, very grim. Avoid.
A veritable cacophony of floral patterns. A toilet seat which was incapable of staying 'up'. Virtually inedible food (don't even THINK of ordering the 'profiteroles'. Ear-shattering plumbing fighting for my attention all night - but frequently drowned out by the barking of a guard dog!
All the staff we encountered were terrific - it wasn't their fault.
We were supposed to stay two nights but had to bail out after one - for the comparative luxury of the Holiday Inn in Bolton!

The Bolholt Country Park has Fantastic clean and comfortable accommodation, with fantastic views.
Superb leisure centre facilities to wind down after a long day. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant which has a great lounge area to entertain clients in.
The staff are very helpful, and attentive. I would highly recommend this hotel.
