I stayed here during September, and after reading a mixed bag of reviews, I was more than impressed with with the service that I received from check-in to check-out. Upon check-in, I was offered to 50% discount voucher for their restuarant, which was and added bonus, which I gladly snapped up. The food was 1st class, along with the service from the restaurant staff, nothing was too much trouble. The ambiance in there is just right.
My room, overlooking the Cathedral, was in perfect condition, had a huge bed, good sized television. I was pre-warned about the Cathedral bells going off all night, but they stop at 11pm, and start up again at 7am, they clearly haven't stayed in that hotel. You must pay the up-grade cost to a Cathedral room, if it is available. Doors are locked at night, but there is a buzzer to let the night staff aware you are there, it is for security purposes I was told, which is comforting. They do have a limited bar available at night, but they don't take cash after 11pm, but you can get drink with a vaild card or something from reception.
Breakfast was quite frankly a massive bombardment of food, so much choice, which was constantly re-stocked.
All in all a brilliant little hotel, with excellant service. Try it.

I absolutely loved staying here as we had a cathedral view room. The staff were brilliant at what they catered for. As I am fussy with food my father let the catering staff know and they said we can look at the lounge menu as well. The meal was fantastic it was like we were staying in a five star hotel. As it was my sisters graduation at the cathedral it didn't take us long to get there as it is only a minute walk. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who would stay here for graduation or business meetings.
