Travelodge Cambridge Swavesey Hotel

This is a Travelodge, so one can't expect the service of a full hotel - therefore I'm only commenting on the room, bathroom and basic facilities. I should also add that I got a web-special deal so didn't pay much either. The room was reasonably big, with double bed and sofa. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided, and were perfectly adequate. The bathroom was functional, but without any toiletries apart from soap. The room was very clean throughout. This establishment had an American style appearance (and American prices), but did not come up to its counterparts in the US as far as quality and service went. The receptionist when I arrived was curt, there were no toiletries in the room, or available, and I was told they don't supply them any more. There was no phone in the room, and the public call box in the lobby was broken. There were no laundry facilities on the premises, and no iron or hairdryer in the room, although they did say they had them at the desk. Worst of all the water ran... more
