Travelodge Huntingdon Hotel

We've just returned from 3 nights at the Royal Cambridge Hotel and do not feel as if we have had good value for money at all. We paid £110 per night for a double en suite. The room itself was OK, what you'd expect for this kind of hotel. However, it was very warm indeed, a fan was provided and we needed to have this on all night to make it a comfortable temperature to sleep. My Company paid for me to stay in this hotel. I now prefer to stay in my office. On one occassion, there was no remote control handset for the TV. I was informed that there was no replacement. When I requested the assistance of the Duty Manager, I was informed that he lived 20 miles away. The situation was resolved when I stated that I would not pay the bill! I paid £150 for 1 night for a double en-suite room and thought it was poor value for money I requested a quiet room but got the noisiest room in the hotel which had 2 roundabouts in front of our window the constant volume of traffic caused our window to vibrate the radiator in bathroom vibrated very loudly at frequent intervals therefore we got no sleep at all and was forced to check out at 3.30am to get away from the constant noise

OK if you can get it for 50 quid a night, but otherwise hideously overpriced. We paid up for the best room in the house & it was frankly grotty. '50's decor with a faint patina of 80's Bernie Inn & showers reminiscent of the gentle summer rain of England.
