Prettiest Island from Rossvale
Flew to Menorca for 2nd time in 3 years and chose Cala Galdana - The Cala Galdana Gardens Apartment Complex. Previously been to Son Bou which was also lovely. Cala Galdana so pretty, friendly, plenty of walks on the level and most of all, the most beautiful horseshoe bay with clean water, silver strand and all within 5 minutes from the Apartments and the 2 hotels on the bay. Apartments clean and comfortable with Air Con. Ideal for families in that you can book adjoining apartments but each with its own entrance. No cooker only 2 electric rings. You could fall out of bed into the nearest cafe for breakfast. Not for those seeking clubs but ideal for all else. Local bus services and never once heard a car horn all week! Would recommend without any doubts
Great Apartments from NZogbia
We have just returned from the Galdana Gardens after a weeks stay and i cannot praise them high enough. You will be right amongst all the restaurants and bars yet because most places are closed by midnight you are guaranteed a good nights sleep. The pool is fairly small but more than adequate for the number of apartments and has plenty of sunbeds available. The rooms themselves seem to have been recently refurnished and have an air conditioning unit in both the living room and bedroom which was a godsend as it was very hot when we were there. Our apartment was on the 4th floor as requested and boasted a magnificent view across to the scenic Galdana beach. There are many fine eating places in the resort with our faves being the Cala Mitjana which is just past the Missipi Bar, Sa Lluna which is past the Audax and up the hill, and the one on the small island by the bay.To be honest though we didnt have a poor meal all the time we were there. Overall a fantastic week and we will definitely return one day.

arrived in galdana just after midnight...mini coach stopped right outside the main entrance to the apartments. reception is closed at this time, but the tour rep at the airport told us our room number, which was open for us, and the key was inside on tthe table.the apartment is a good size...we had number 3 which was over the shops and overlooked the marina and beach...just perfect. i faxed the reception a couple of months prior to my arrival to ask for one of these apartments, so it may be worth doing if you ewant a good view. we have 3 children,so a pull out sofa bed was great for the 2 older girls and a cot was provided for the little one...no complaints there. our room had twin beds that were pushed together, typical....but the room has built in wardrobes with ample space..even room for 5 suitcases.the bedroom and the main sitting area are air conditioned which is fantastic, after a day in the sun, to open the door and be hit by cool air....refreshing or what. its worth turning the air con off around midnight, as the place is cool enough by then to last till morning...otherwise it can be quite noisy through the night.there is a good size bathroom with power shower and bidet..and for cooking there is a small 2 ring cooker, a fridge with small freezer compartment and enough cutlery and crockery to do. the outside pool is a fair size, although can get quite busy...i still can't for the life of me wonder why people go to a beautiful resort such as galdana, with one of the best beaches on the island, and never leave the pool...but that's just my opinion. most people gather round the main square at night, firstly for the kids disco..which is all german songs, and then the nightly entertainment...which goes for ok to rubbish. eating places are plentiful but can be quite pricey, shop around. the only down side we found about the place was the lack of attention to children. other restaurants on the island in other resorts really cater for children, with crayons and colouring books and free lollies...but galdana is different...a bit more child friendly would be great. all in all a fantastic place, great food, great apartment, lovely weather...and the big question is, would i go back....... yes i would, but i'm not going to...3 years in a row now to menorca...time to go somewhere else now.....eurocamp in france next year...quite a contrast.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday in Cala Galdana at the Galdana Gardens apartments and absolutely loved it. We had two twin rooms on 4th floor and the views were fantastic. The food in the restaurants was fabulous. We travelled around the island in a hire car, the rest of the iresorts on the island are beautiful but dont hold a candle to Cala Galdana. The appartments were clean and tidy and the pool area was clean and never overcrowded. Loved it, loved it, loved it. And are definately going again.

We stayed here for two weeks in July 2006. Location is everything !! Superb. Apartments themselves needed a little upgrading but that's tough on them. Kids loved the pool area. I tried to book direct with the owners for two weeks rental during July 2008. They told me over the phone that I could not book direct with them any more and that I would have to go through DirectHolidays or Lowcostbeds. Having checked, the price is now prohibitive and I won't be going there next year afterall. Lowcostbeds want £75 per day. I paid €73 per day direct to owners last year. What a pity. Have now found other apartment in the resort which I consider better value.
Great apartments from cazleeds
Just back from a week at these apartments.In my opinion these apartments offer excellent value for money and having endured apartments in Greece - these were first class. We were lucky to get number 3, as mentioned before nos 1 - 8 have a great unrestricted view of small harbour and bay. The apartment was spacious, newly re-furbished, had air con, tv and most mod cons. They were very clean and were cleaned and had clean towels twice a week. I would certainly stay here again and would come back to cala galdana. We hired a car and visited many different resorts but thought this resort the best, albeit a little pricy to eat out and hire sun beds etc. All in all a wonderful weeks holiday.

The Cala Galdana Gardens Apts are excellent. We stayed here Sept 07, they are perfect for a nice relaxing cheap-ish break. Not too busy, the pool was never crowded and you always got a sun lounger. Nice friendly apartments with a lovely receptionist. Rooms clean and comfortable and spacious, especially with only the 2 of us. Location is everything - 2 minutes walk from the beach, right on ground level along the front of the resort so no walks up and down the hill. However despite the location no noise at all after 11pm while we were there, and no noise in the complex itself. Worth asking for apts 1-8 to be on the front facing out, the apartments at the back look down onto the pool and some (including ours) look through some trees onto the beach, photos attached. The resort itself is very quiet and family orientated, a few nice bars and restaurants. Entertainment is on in the main square every night, mostly (pretty good) tribute bands. Also the main hotels have entertainment anyone can go and watch, although we found the drinks prices to be expensive. The beach is lovely, nicest I have seen, very clean and not too busy. Only bad thing is it cost 22 € for 2 sun loungers and an umbrella which we thought was extortionate so we bought lilos and lay on them - also good cos you can move in the tree-shaded area if the heat gets too much. There is a nice restuarant in the centre of the resort with a pool outside, a few slides and crazy golf for kids. Would definitely go back.

FAB Location, beautiful gardens, very relaxing. swimming pool smaller than average but lovely and never over crowded. Couldn't get any closer to the beach if you tried. Beautiful setting for families and couples not sploit by british pubs and noisy clubs!! Just lovely spanish bars and restaurants and views to die for. The beach is the nicest I've ever been to with lovely views around the bay.

cala galdans gardens proved to be a very clean, quiet, modern hotel. the beach is a two minute walk and all rooms have sea or pool views. as some of the resort is on hilly land, these appartments were on the flat making it easily accessible to the shops, resaurants and beach. right at the centre of the resort, cala galdana appartments seemed hidden away and very private although the souvenir shops run along the promenade directly below the hotel. wonderfully maintained gardens although pool is quite small, but never overcrowded. spacious rooms containing all you would need. will definately return to cala galdana and probably this hotel
Best basic apartments in the whole resort from EssexGirly
The Cala Galdana Gardens are situated at ground level, which is the first thing you will notice in this hilly resort, most of the others are up a steep hill. There are 50 apartments in total, some over shops, but these have the best view, if not a little smaller inside. They have become a little tired over the last few years and apparently will be having new bathrooms and kitchen areas done this winter. The kitchen area at the moment is extremely small and has a fridge, gas kettle, toaster and a hob with all the regular utensils, but thats about it. However, we have been 9 times and we just love them. The actual gardens of the title surround the pool and are gorgeous. There is a small laundry area around the back of the apartments that reception give you tokens for. These apartments are in the middle of the resort with nice restaurants just outside. Entertainment is available in the evenings in the 3 big hotels around the beach. The Hotel Cala Galdana has a 'village square' area where there is an open air mini disco for the kids and a show afterwards. The resort is quite expensive, but there are no lager louts or karaoke, so I suppose you get what you pay for!! The beach is the best I've ever seen, visit the viewpoints up on the cliffs for some amazing views, or just go up to the terrace of the Sol Gavilanes Hotel to take some photos! We will be booking for next year as we couldnt bear not to go again!
