By far the best of the hotels in or around King's Lynn. Not on the coast but in a wonderfully bucolic setting. Lovely gardens, a lovely terrace to sit on and enjoy a lunch-time drink or drinks before dinner.
The food is wonderful. There is a table d'hote menu with a price for two or three courses but there are always extras which are not charged for. The only drawback is the wine list which is extensive but quite pricey for Norfolk.
The staff are attentive but not overbearing. Very middle class but not stuffy. In short a lovely place for couples wanting to get away from it all, or for bird watchers.
