Nice hotel, strange layout!
from Psiren
We stayed here for a nice relaxing night after a mad weekend away. Got a very reasonable room only rate, worth looking around for best rates. The hotel is one of the strangest layouts i have ever seen. It is divided into a number of different buildings so its easy to get lost! We had booked a "courtyard view" superior room. No problems booking in, although they do adhere to their check in time of 2pm. Can't blame them when they have so many rooms to clean! Room was lovely, very spacious with a comfy bed and chairs and a swivelling TV. We also had a balcony overlooking the courtyard, if only it had been summer! The bathroom was very clean with nice big fluffy towels and a powerful shower. The leisure facilities are good with a nice pool and jacuzzi. Only problem is that you have to go outside to get there. Not great with wet hair after a swim! For dinner we decided to try the on-site pub "The Farmers Arms". We were a bit limited on menu choice as it was Sunday evening and they had run out of some of the menu choices. However we chose the chargrilled chicken and it was very tasty. Service was also great. Overall a really good stay.
good hotel
from sheila01234
I was travelling to the area and stayed here for a night on business. I must say I couldnt fault the place. Its good honest hotel where you get what you pay for . Rooms were clean, bar was nice and big with a good choice and good emmenities in the hotel. I have stayed previosuly with the family and would stay again. I agree with the other reviews on this hotel - a good place to stay
Big welcome bar
from ashcan
Stayed here for one night for a £68 B+B Goverment rate, having stayed here previously. It is a large comfortable BW hotel with good quality rooms. However, this time we were accommodated in the courtyard- which looks fairly grim from the outside, although the rooms are just as good as in the main block. I was concerned about being placed behind the bar, but had no worries about noise, was it that I stayed in until closing time? The breakfast service is improved from my last stay, as it is a help yourself buffet with a good array of hot and cold items. The plastic key I was given for my room didn't work- so I had to return to reception to get another key issued. Other gripes were a fairly poor TV reception ( also experienced by a work colleague) a very fiddly shower mechanism mounted above the bath taps and immediately behind the pillows a vast selection of electrical sockets - which either is dangerous or uncomfortable if you move around in bed! As we eat out in KL I can't comment on the food and too much time in the bar ( a good hotel bar - with a large selection of ales) meant I didn't try the pool/gym! Overall a good comfortable hotel with a good range of facilities, easy to get to set in a quiet location.
Near excellent, a lovely stay
from Wolfrace
This is a really nice hotel with kind, pleasant and happy staff who are pleased to make sure guests have a good stay. There are a range of rooms at different prices and after looking around, all we found were pleasant and good value. Some are excellent. The hotel is situated outside Kings Lynn and easy to find on the junction of two major roads....but rooms are set back from the road and quiet. Breakfast was very good and the restaurant is a lovely place to start the day...bright, well furnished and overlooking the garden. Our room was £90 a night and overlooked an inner courtyard. Good value for money for the quality provided, well ahead of another hotel at the same price in Kings Lynn from which we moved. A really nice stay.
Very impressed with the evening meal
from rose-from-the-shires
We stayed on a Sunday night, as they had a special offer to include the evening meal. Apparently Sunday`s tend to be quiet - which suited us perfectly. The evening meal was absolutely delicious, the best we have had for a long time. We had to wait a while between courses, but it was well worth it. Additionally, all the staff were very pleasant - well done! The swimming pool was adequate, although I can image it could get rather crowded during busy times. We didn`t use the gym, so can`t comment on gym facilities. The hotel is in a lovely setting, and our standard double room was pleasantly decorated, and appeared to have recently had a new carpet fitted. Our only small complaint about the room would be the bathroom. The grouting and sealant around the bath could do with tidying up, and the discoloured grouting needs replacing. Also the shower was a bit akward to use. It is a shame that these small issues have not been attended to. Overall though, the whole setting was very pleasant, and we had a lovely one night stay, and would most certainly stay there again.
Huge Disapppointment
from Springer
We booked a two day break as a present to our daughters so specifically booked a hotel with an indoor swimming pool. When we asked on check-in where the pool was, we were told "It's out of action". We were given two rooms in the courtyard. My daughters' room stank of cigarette smoke - the smell was so bad that it could be smelt from outside as soon as the door was opened. The room my husband and I shared stank of drains and sewerage. When I went to reception and asked for some air freshner I was told "it's locked away". The service at breakfast was extremely poor. As soon as we entered the dining room - before we were even allowed to sit down - my husband had to sign for the breakfasts. We were then left sitting at the table while staff stood around chatting. Fortunately my daughter spotted the hot food in an adjacent part of the dining room as no-one told us it was there. My husband had to get up and ask a member of staff for coffee and toast. I would never visit this hotel again.
Very comfortable hotel with a friendly staff
from A TripAdvisor Member
I come to King's Lynn for work at least once or twice a year and I always stay at the Knight's Hill. My previous stay was in March 2006 (for 1 1/2 weeks) and before that July 2005 (for 3 weeks). I stay in the new part on the second floor and I have never been disapointed. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. The workout facility is wonderful and open late. The food in the restaurants leaves a little to be desired but room service is fast, accurate and efficient. I find the staff to be friendly and extremely helpful. I will stay here everytime I come to KIngs Lynn.
Friendly staff, good food and leisure facilities.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel. We stayed half board on a 3 nights for the price of 2 option, which was very good value for money. Our room was in the main part of the hotel and was spacious with a massive double bed. Everything was clean and tidy, the bathroom was large with a bath and shower. A decent TV was in the room which included Sky sports channels as well as BBC etc. The food was excellent with an allocation of £25 per person for dinner (not for drink though). The Breakfast similarly was good with a wide choice of pastries, cereals, fruit, yoghurts etc. as well as the full English. The staff were very friendly and the service prompt and efficient. The leisure facilities were excellent with a really well equipped gym, small pool, sauna and steam room. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel. The only thing I would say on the negative is the location of the hotel is near to a busy roundabout so there is some traffic noise. We did experience some noise in our room, but it was not excessive.
My Best Mates Wedding
from A TripAdvisor Member
Yesterday was my best mates wedding at the knights hill best western hotel in south wooton in kings lynn. The Wedding went off fine and the barn was lovely. There was a [c--k] up regarding our rooms and our prebooked interconnecting rooms had been given to someone else. However when i brought this too richard (The manager) Attention he moved the people from the room gave us 2 rooms at half price with free breakfast for all. It cost me £65 for this and i was more than compensated. On this basis alone this good manager has saved my opinion on the hotel and i would definatly go back. Lovely location and good health center by the way. We found that nothing was too much trouble here and it does honestly deserve an above average rating!! Good on ya knights hill
I love Norfolk....
from smidge
We booked here on a fairly last minute deal for £70 for the night for just a room over the Bank Holiday. Did not expect 5* luxury, but we were very impressed with the room which was well decorated, in excellent condition, spacious with a fab balcony overlooking gardens and countryside, very peaceful. We also managed to catch a brilliant sunset on Monday night from the balcony - not quite Santorini proportions but not bad for Norfolk! We did not eat in the restaurant, so we cannot give our views regarding food, but the leisure club (swimming pool/gym) was a nice addition and well run. In summary, we were very happy with our stay there, all went smoothly and would definitely stay again if we wanted to be in that bit of Norfolk for the night.

I stayed at the hotel for 4nights in July and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. This was booked as a surprise break for my partners birthday and the hotel were very helpful. I’d arranged for a rose and chocolates to be in the room on arrival and had sent them a card to put with... more
