Quality Hotel

Arrived at the hotel, receptionist was friendly, had been travelling for some time so just looking forward to a bath and bed. Room itself was stark and basic, at £65.00 per night , room only, wasn't expecting the ritz but atleast the quality of a travelodge etc. However, went into the bathroom and found, mouldy sealant around the bath, scum in the soap dish, dirt on the floor, toilet seat virtually hanging off, brown stain in the toilet and black slime seeping from the overflow in the sink. Stayed here for a few nights as being on the outskirts of Norwich parking was free and was close to one of the city's park and rides. However there is no way this should be classified as a 3* hotel. The hotel was taken over by new owners at the start of the year and so far they have only updated the lobby area. The rooms are basic and a bit grim to be honest. The corridors are dismal and smell. The breakfast was overpriced and poor quality (we ended up going to a local supermarket's cafe for the rest of our stay). Staff were quite abrupt.... more

We paid £55 for a double room and breakfast. At this rate the hotel is fair value. The rooms are basic and look cheap, but the breakfast was nice. Booking direct with the hotel would be £80 per night. This would be severely over priced. I probably wouldn't stay again. But it wasn't terrible.

Let's see, where to begin... - the hotel looks like something straight out of the 80's, they need to refurbish the place from top to bottom - laundry service is handled by what look like used grocery bags & returned wrinkled and just thrown on the bed - sheets never got changed, even with coffee stains on them - wi-fi not working most of the time And oh yes, while we were staying they had an electrical fire & the guests (mostly oap's) were told to sleep in the lobby with cots with no relocation ... that's when we... more
