Barnham Broom Classic Hotel & Country Club

This is very good at what it does. Not very imposing from outside (looks like a 1980's Supermarket!). Interior a bit bland, but had everything you'd look for for a few nights stay. Our room was clean and very comfortable, with a decent bathroom. Hotel is a bit of a treck from Norwich city centre (about 20 mins away). If you like golf you'll be happy here - most people staying seemed to be golfers. Breakfast was very good, lots to choose from with good coffee etc. Staff were very helpful and efficient. Spent a weekend in January 2005 at Barnham Broom. The complex itself is very striking and unusual especially considering the remote and rural setting. We stayed in a basic but clean and comfortable room, breakfast was served in pleasant surroundings and was reasonable in quality and quantity. We chose to give the restaurant a miss as it is quite expensive. The nicest part is that the staff are very helpful and friendly without being intrusive. Went in March 04 so not great weather but still had a lovely relaxing time.Good points In the middle of the countryside Very quiet Fantasic views of golf course/green from rooms Gym, pool, sauna, jacuzzi Restaurant also bar serving affordable food Great country pubs within a few mins drive Friendly, helpful staff'Not so good' points Jacuzzi not warm enough!
