Boscolo Park Hotel

Nice clean room with spotless bathroom - great shower and huge bath. The bed was large and there was satellite TV and pay-per-view films. Great location - minutes from the beach and tons of cafes and restaurants. We ended up paying around £90 for the room so not cheap, but infinitely better than another four-star hotel that we stayed in at the beginning of our trip.

The only good thing about the Boscolo Park Hotel was it's location in Nice. It was close to the beach and close to the pedestrian square where there are a lot of places to eat and shop. The room was a decent size, but the cleanliness was not that good. The bathtub had stains and there was dust everywhere. I would wake up in the middle of the night coughing and I do not have any allergies. In the morning I would feel as if i had smoked a pack of cigarettes the night before. Rooms are small and shabby - definitely needs renovation. Great location but take "sea view" with a pinch of salt (i.e. through the trees and across the park). Breakfast room is gloomy although breakfast itself is adequate and there is a wide variety. Watch out for hidden costs.

We went to Nice for 3 days in March 2005, and I think we paid about 80 euros per night. The hotel is in a great location, and the rooms were fine. Not spectacular, but fine. Our only problem was the bathtub/shower. the shower door did not seal properly, so water covered the floor every time we used it. Aside from that, we did not have any problems. It was clean and for the price, we were very happy. Better than a Holiday Inn, but no Four Seasons.

My son and I reserved six nights at the Boscolo Park in Nice, France, during his spring break in April 2005. We reserved an upgraded room with ocean view, twin beds, and requested a nonsmoking room. Upon checking in at this hotel I asked to see the room beforehand. The receptionist seemed annoyed at the request but complied. Our booking was handled efficiently by phone/fax and we got a better rate than advetised on their web-site. We got 129Euro a night for two of us B+B. Our arrival was dealt with efficiently and the room a was very large and comfortable, as was the bed. The bathroom was OK but no fireworks. The staff were friendy enough and breakfast was more than adequate. The Hotel Boscolo Park is in a fantastic location for exploring Nice, however the hotel itself was a bit of a let down. First impresions were very good the hotel looked very stylish. The big let down for us was the room, although it was very clean the room was very basic and the furnishing were worn and damaged. The bar was also in need of repair as furniture fabic was torn etc. This is most definately not a 4 star hotel, i enjoyed nice and will visit again but would not stay at this what is really a 2 star hotel!

Maybe we got a better room since it was off season in Jan. 05. We were very satified with our room. The bath was spacious and clean. The bed was one of the best we have had. The room itself was located on the second floor in front with a balcony. The room also had soundproof wall covering which kept out almost all noise. The breakfast was French of course. I was worried by some of the bad reviews on this hotel but thankfully we were pleasantly suprised. We stayed for 3 nights from 21st January 2005. We paid 190 GBP for double room B&B for the 3 nights, this was good value. Hotel is not 4* but is a good 3* and is in an excellent location, just off the promenade and near the great shopping streets and the flower market area where there are loads of restaurants. I just returned from a stay in Nice Dec. 17-24~ here are my thoughts: First of all let me say that Nice is so beautiful and so rich in culture that you will not want to stay in your room very much at all. Even in December the weather was beautiful and mild enough to get away with just a sweater. You will want to be on the streets getting a cafe' or wine or down on the beach... so get an economy hotel if possible, based on your budget.
