Pleasant Good quality Hotel
This was the first time I have stayed in a Ramada Hotel and was pleasantly surprised. I would say it is about 3 miles out of the city centre in a business park and and not an industrial estate as some people indicate. It is completely contained within its own grounds and not overlooked. Actually within about 100 yards there is a very nice park/lake area where you can walk and jog etc. Also within 1/2 a mile is a Tesco Extra, open 24 hours a day which has absolutely everything. Only 1 person ever seems to be on reception which isn't... more
Ok For Business
Stayed two nights at the Ramada Jarvis in Swansea. Located in an industrial estate. Some staff very friendly, some distinctly lacking enthusiasm. The young evening porter even told my colleague and myself how much he hates the place! No bottled water available? Was told that I would need to go to the local Tesco?? Nor was I able to purchase headache tablets. £20 for a carvery dinner - extremely poor quality and extremely over priced. Due to travel problems, we arrived at around 8.30pm and immediately went to the restuarant - at 9.25pm,... more
Good hotel, odd location.
First time we have stayed at a Ramada hotel. Stayed Sunday night and only paid £59 for double room with breakfast (Laterooms) so excellent value. Hotel clean and comfortable in nice grounds. Our room overlooked the river at the rear of hotel. It was 28 degrees and unfortunately there is no air-con in rooms but a large free-standing fan was in the room. Bed was comfortable. Lovely feather/down pillows but blanket/s not duvet. Buffet breakfast was very good, plenty of choice and tables set nicely. Tea and coffee pots brought to table and... more
Not for pleasure!
Ramada Jarvis I stayed there for one night on a business trip during June 2006. It is particularly popular with people attending conferences at the nearby, impressive DVLA facility. As another reviewer has pointed out: this I very much a motel. It has two floors only and is located in an industrial estate close to Swansea. My room was of adequate size, was clean and had cheap looking furniture, and two small, hard single beds. The bathroom was not very clean and the toilet was filthy. The shower did not work. When I pulled up... more
Good hotel, not so good position
We haved just returned from a 3 night stay at the Ramada Swansea. Our first choice was the Marriott, as we were looking to stay within reach of the Gower and use the Tesco Clubcard Points/Vouchers. The Marriott however, discontinued the Tesco scheme, so we settled for the Ramada. We found the Ramada to be a pleasant hotel, with a clean bedroom/bathroom and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was help-yourself style in a nice restuarant and was very good with plenty of choice. The pool, sauna and gym facilities were good. Staff were... more
Nice Hotel With Complimentary use of Gym & Pool
I stayed a week in this hotel the room was very clean & the beds were extremely comfortable! The staff was friendly & helpful. Best off all I got to use the gym & pool & sauna every day free of charge. The only downside i would say is that there was no Wifi available. There was plently of parking and the rooms were quite.

Booked a room suitable for two adults and two children. "I" had to move thge double bed to get at the two singles underneath, i felt this should have been done prior to my arrival, not enough towels in the room either. One of the single beds had clearly been urinated on, these sheets were changed only to find when my daughter got into bed at 10pm that the new sheets had blood on them !! Generally a poorly run hotel, with very un-enthusiastic staff and an extortianately priced bar, £5.50 for a glass of wine and £2 for a childs "fruitshoot".... more
Glorified motel in an industrial estate
Recently stayed at the Ramada, ex Hilton. A bit in the middle of nowhere in an industrial estate but was near where I needed. The ground floor rooms are refurbished and are tidier than the first floor rooms - but they still miss much of the advertised facities. I have stayed in 3 rooms and all had lost their chairs and had differing standards of furnishings. Very much a motel - is OK for a couple of nights - but if you want to stay any longer you're better heading into Swansea town proper and stay at the... more
