Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel

This should have been lovely; a Victorian castle overlooking Dublin Bay. When we arrived, we were impressed, until the reception clerk told us they had put the three of us (my wife, my mother and myself) into one room, not the double and a single we had booked! And they expected us to be ok about it. We had to stay in an ordinary commercial hotel (very good, but not the luxury we wanted for an all too brief weekend away). They upgraded our rooms at the Fitzpatrick for the remaining nights, nice gesture, but not a lot for our trouble. The final insult, the room bill was about $500 more than the original booking. I would keep way, if you value your financial health
