I had heard good things about the Ramada (in fact Ramada took over the hotel a few years ago) what can I say... another run down hotel that has seen better days!
Noisy rooms (you can hear clearly people using the bathroom in the next room).
Body hair on the bathroom floor and in the bath.
Public area furniture falling apart, smeared glass etc etc
A thorough disappointment - shan't be going back.

Perth itself is a lovely town situated at the gateway to the highlands. The surrounding countryside is stunning and the town boast interesting shops and walks. The is much to find out about the history of this area and the hotel has many brochures and leaflets to assist in this.
Ramada Perth hotel was formerly a 15th century watermill and it still retains the original waterwheel. You can watch the tranquil water that still flows under your feet whilst enjoying a drink in the lounge. The water flows under the hotel and comes out in the gardens, which makes a serene spot in the town although in November warm clothing is required.
The rooms are pretty basic although each has an LCD TV and Internet access, at a price.
Service was friendly and efficient and guests are well looked after.
The food is acceptable, if rather uninspiring. If celebrating, be prepared to pay premium prices for the drinks - this is not the place to be if funds are limited.
There are various places to visit within easy travelling distance like Scone Palace, Branklyn Gardens and the Glenturret Distillery, or for the children, Perth Leisure Pool and the Dewars Ice Rink are within walking distance.
Craigiehill par 66 Golf Course is one of Perthshire’s finest best courses.
