Good stopover hotel
We stayed here for one night on our way down to Alton Towers as we were visiting friends in the area. Room was lovely for the 4 of us. Pool was nice and my hubby and son had it all to themselves. Only meal taken in the hotel was breakfast which was OK. Would've enjoyed breakie more if there had been croissants, pan au chocolat or pancakes as that's my breakfast treat while on holiday. Other than this, we enjoyed our short visit.

I would like to thank you for passing on your comments following your stay with us. It was very pleasing to read your comments, however I would like to apologise if there were no croissants or pain au chocolate available for breakfast - these are standard breakfast items and should be readily available every morning. Pancakes are made fresh to order as detailed on our menu's. I apologise again if this was not made clear to you. Kind Regards, Terence P Southward

Fine, probably wont stay again
Stayed for one night on a long trip from North of Scotland to South of England. We chose the hotel for its proximity to the motorway and for that reason it was good. The hotel had some large events on in the evening and we had been called a few days earlier to let us know that we would not be able to eat in the restaurant but the bar would be available with a bit of a wait on food - it was a little late to book another hotel! We found that the bar menu was not great and the bar area is just the hotel lobby. We ate out. The room... more

Many thanks for your feedback in relation to your stay here at the hotel. I take your comments on board about the telephone call about the limited dining facilities. We did make a courtesy call to all residents over that weekend, however in hindsight this call should have been made much earlier. I have also spoken to my Health & Fitness team and re-emphasised the importance of ensuring all the facilities are kept spotlessly clean and in working order. Kind regards, Terence P Southward

Very comfortable hotel
Stayed here for a couple of nights to spend some time in the Lakes. Very comfortable rooms, plenty of parking, nice bar food - although the service was very slow. Excellent breakfast - although a little disorganised when everyone arrived at once! We were very impressed overall and would recommend this hotel - it was very good value!

Many thanks for your kind feedback in relation to your stay. I would like to assure you that I have spoken with my Deputy Manager and the food & beverage team at the hotel and procedures have now been put into place to address the service issues over busy weekend breakfast. We have also changed both our Lounge & Restaurant menu in order to speed up the service during busy times. Kind regards, Terence P Southward

Brilliant Hotel
I stayed in this hotel for one night on business. The double room I had was very well designed and clean. Even though it is next to the M6 I did not find noise a problem. I ate from the bar menu and thoroughly enjoyed the pasta I had. Only fault was the shower leaked onto the bathroom floor, but that can easily be fixed. Very happy with the service I received.

Many thanks for your feedback following your stay here at the hotel. I have instructed my Maintenance Manager to carry out a full audit of all our shower heads throughout the hotel. Kind regards, Terence P Southward

Outstanding value for money - 5 star service for 3 star cost!
I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. We paid £51.00 for a Saturday night stay with breakfast included. The hotel is just off the motorway so easy to find and has a nice exterior with plenty of parking at the front. On entering the interior comes as a surprise as the decor is very exotic all dark wood and luxurious furnishings. The receptionist was extremely helpful and welcoming as were all the staff. The room itself was of ample size, a lovely comfy bed and again the room was decorated with the same expensive looking colours and... more

I would like to thank you for your very positive feedback. It is very pleasing to see that our guests are pleased with the our efforts after a multi-million pound refurbishment. I will of course pass on your comments to our Head Chef and the rest of the team. Kind regards, Terence P Southward

Super Place to stay
My wife & I have just spent 2 days staying at this hotel. The outside of the hotel does not do justice to the interior. The rooms are very comfy & exceptionally clean, the decor is super. The service we received from th staff is alot higher than i have received tinmost places we have ever stayed. The breakfast was buffet style, with good quality sausage etc Well recommended.

Good Stop Off Whilst Driving from Southern England to Scotland
Two of us stayed here for one night whilst driving up from Southern England after work on a Friday on our way to Scotland. The hotel has a great hotel lobby with a large bar area and a flat screen TV next to the check-in desk. It does however have a few odd features like a huge chair which you would need a foot up to get into as well as sheep figures and romanisc statues. We have a double room on the first floor facing the motorway but we didn't notice any noise from the traffic during the night. The room had a comfortable bed, desk,... more
Lovely!
We had a lovely time at the hotel. Beds were comfy, rooms a good size, bathrooms clean and there was a great selection of tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. The pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and steam room were all great sizes. The pool was a little cold the first night but not too bad the second. We chose to eat at the bar as it was £5 less then the restaurant and more cosy. The meals were lovely. We both really did enjoy them. The ice cream was expensive ad disappointing for the price, but i would definitely recommend the crumble. The first... more
