The Park Royal A Q Hotel

Stayed last weekend at Park Royal Hotel with my boyfriend. This hotel was very easy to find with plenty of parking. I have stayed here before so knew what I was expecting. Reception was modern and the staff were extra friendly. There were 4 wedding parties going on there that day but the staff had the time to give us all the information we needed and still be very polite and friendly. Very nice setting and very helpful staff. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and the rooms are clean and modern. The Spa was closed on our visit which was rather annoying for my partner and the bar prices would be more at home in Monaco! £15 for a glass of wine (small) and spirit with mixer! Ouch!

This hotel just had too many problems to merit a recommendation and a couple of staff members ruined the whole experience for us. The room was firmly in the average category. Small, 'interesting' decor, no minibar (although there was a space/sign for one) and no hairdryer. The leisure facilities were ok but the jacuzzi was out of order. I have been working in Cheshire, and have stayed here regularly. It is located just off the M56, but is far away enough from the motorway to be quiet. Rooms are pleasantly decorated and always pristine. Staff are professional. There is a small gym. Very pleasant business hotel.

This was our third stay at this hotel, and we will be going back again.......If you're after a relaxing time to recharge the batteries, then this is a must. The hotel itself has all the usual amenities you would expect from a hotel in its class, what is the value add is location, staff, leisure centre and food, which are all above standard. We stayed here in Oct on an Autumn special deal for 2 nights, as a group of 4 - ladies to pamper themselves and gents to play golf. The location is just off the M56, but not too far from Warrington and there are several golf courses in the local area. The price for the rooms and facilities is not bad for what you get, and included breakfast each day and dinner on the first evening. I liked this hotel, the room I had was large and well appointed. Bathroom was clean, with decent quality soaps and gels. I found the staff quite helpful, apart from one exceptionally uninterested lad at the bar who insisted on querying everything I ordered rather than just serving it. Breakfast is good, and the general atmosphere is very pleasant. Good location - close to town but far enough away to be quiet. Bar food is a bit expensive, small portions but OK.

Having found ourselves with an unexpected afternoon off work on a Monday we decided to treat ourselves last minute to a relaxing night in a hotel and we specifically required one with a swimming pool but most importantly a spa in order to wheel away the stresses of work. Stayed here when usual company preferred hotel was not available. I think that there was an overflow from Liverpool due to the Liverpool v Barcelona match. Still got a reasonable price. Easily found from the Motorway with plenty of parking and yet the location was quiet allowing me, a light sleeper, to sleep well. I stayed here for 2 nights on business. The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. My room was large, comfortable and quiet. Room service food was very good - (go for the pasta!). The gym is much bigger and better equipped than most hotels. The hotel is a couple of minutes from the motorway, but is in a very rural setting, and peaceful. As a lone female, I felt safe and comfortable. My only gripe: very expensive internet access!
