Springfort Hall Hotel

My husband and i would like to thank everybody who were involved in making our special day a success, both on the lead up to the wedding day and on the actual day. July 11th 2007 My wife and I booked a two night stay at the Hotel and from the time we arrived we found the Hotel and the staff excellent. Our room was lovely. We had a meal in the hotel on our first night and even with the hotel being very busy with a large wedding the service and food where first class. After our meal we went for a walk in the beautiful grounds and then to the drawing room where one of the staff was playing the piano and we relaxed with a few drinks. I had my own wedding in springfort and have been at other weddings there since. It is an amazing venue. I had a big wedding there and even with a big number the food was exceptional. Everyone eats at the same time( i have been to weddings where some people are still on there first course and others are finishing there mains in other hotels in cork). We arrived down to Springfort hall for a two night stay including a friends wedding reception. The Friday night we made the mistake of eating in the hotel. Six of us were rushed through a meal which went mostly uneaten. We got the distinct impression that the kitchen staff had places they would rather be so, microwaved style soup, cremated meat and an incorrect bill and we were out of there. When myself and my now husband went looking for a venue to hold our wedding reception,we instantly fell in love with this unique little hotel.On viewing the rooms in which our guests were to stay we were a little concerned as to their overall condition and appearance, however we were guaranteed that the newer roms would be assigned to the wedding party, this unfortunately did not transpire as promised. We stayed at Springfort for 5 nights in August. The main building, which lies in woodland and landscaped gardens well away from the main road, is a Splendid old manor house so has a great atmosphere and charm. The bedrooms, in a large extension, are modern, well equiped and comfortable. Springfort Hall Hotel is located in the Blackwater Valley, just North of Mallow, so is an excellent base for exploring County Cork and Kerry.
