Loved the Los Colinas Apartments! They were ideal for a quiet getaway. Approx. 20 minutes walk from the main downtown area but courtesy bus was very handy. No children when we were there-which was a bonus. Pool area very quiet all day and extremely relaxing! Was not... more

Just back from a fab week at Las Colinas. Apartment large and spotlessly clean. Beds need their mattress turning but other than that, couldn't fault it really. The apartments are a good walk into town (20 minutes +), a few other guests found this unacceptable and spent a... more

We holidayed at Las Colinas, Lanzarote for the first time. We booked independently and also had car hire from the airport with 5Cars/Gold Cars - very reasonable. The location of Las Colinas is ideal - it was quiet whilst we were there and I would imagine it is reasonably a... more

The apartments are very spacious indeed! Whilst not in the main resort it's only a 10 minute walk to the Beach (Playa Bastian) as well as bars and restaurants. My girlfriend and I enjoyed being just outside the centre, plus we were close to the waterpark! Las Colinas is... more

Well first off all, a key point in which my fellow holiday makers should know is that if you have a flight in which it is delayed and you arrive late after 9pm you will only be able to get food and drink from the town centre as the Shop is shut in the apartments. Myself and... more

nice break
I stayed here 2 wk before christmas with my husband and my 11 month old little boy. We got a taxi from the airport which was a lot quicker and cheaper than the transfer we were offered. So would recommend this to anyone thinking of staying in Costa Teguise, as its only a 10min journey. The reception is in need of a refurb but the staff were very helpfull. Our room was not on the ground floor as I had requested but this was sorted out in less than 10 min. Our room was huge and was in the second block lower down the hill, the room was very clean and we had no complaints regarding this. The pub was very smokey and I am a smoker (for now), I only went in during the day on one occasion and that was enough.- so beware non smokers, so not ideal for children. The pool was very cold and my little boy could not go in for the duration of the holiday as he would have been ill, so would recommend a heated pool for children if anybody plans on going out at the same time as I did. We never ate in the Pub and it was too cold to eat outside in the evening so cant comment on that. We did find a great restaurant La Jordana. The food was excellant and the staff and service were second to none,. so would highly recomend this place. You can sit outside as well but its not as nice as inside. We did sit outside as we had our little boy with us and he can be rather loud and we didnt want to upset the other paying guests, I think the staff appreciated this and couldnt do enough for us all, including my little boy. The apartments are situated up a hill, and its a good 20 min walk to the beach, so anybody with walking issues I would steer clear. We didnt mind the walk as it often got my little boy to sleep, but each to their own!! The centre is also a good 20-30min walk and we often walked down in the evening and then jumped into a taxi on the way home. The chinese restaurant next to the chemist sign was great, we had a banquet and they were very friendly. Overall had a nice break but would look to stay closer to the centre when we return. This is a family resort and wouldnt recommend it to young people as there are a lot more bars & clubs in Del Carmen. The beach arear is very small but great for kids, but there are not a lot of sun beds, but not sure if this was done to the time of year!!. Hope this helps people.
Nice but
After checking out the reviews on trip Advisor, I still went ahead and booked. This was advertised as 4* but infact it is 2*. clearly stated on arrival, however, it is very clean and spacious. The only down side is the location. A brisk 25-30 minute walk down hill to the resort. No problems with the room or any thing else to be honest, Nice weather but windy and some lovely food in the resort. Didn't eat at the complex. Casa Juan in particular was very good value, half way down the hill towards the main resort, near NETO. Lovely food and fresh chips... The beaches were lovely, could not fault the place personally. Las Colinas was good value for money but just out of the way a little. Good excercise though!!!
Great apartments
Got back on 1st March........the apartment we were in was superb! Very large and spacious with microwave, two ring electric cooker, toaster, iron and ironing board. Balcony with a sea view was really nice and even through we were on the 3rd floor there is a lift so no problem. The pool is FREEZING so don't think about those early morning dips before breakfast cos you would need a wet suit! Can be very windy on the island but our balcony was very shaded so i sunbathed there in the afternoons and browned very nicely. The resort itself is a bit of a walk but a pleasant one on a nice evening. The restaurants are many and varied but it all depends on what you want really. There are the burger and pizza places by the plenty, but there are some really nice restaurants as well so shop around. It can be a bit pricey to eat out every night and if you buy your wine by the bottle, expect to pay 10-15 euros for a good bottle. It's not a "pretty" island but if you wat some winter sunshine it's the place to go.
pool is freezing!
We stayed here during the october break hoping for a bit of sun!. The apartments are basic and fairly clean. The hot water is a pain you have to wait for 15mins or so for it to re-heat everytime someone takes a shower. We were very lucky as our room was facing the pool on the ground level and we could keep popping back to get a coffee it was like having our very own villa and pool!. The weather wasnt very good but people who went to the beach said it was red hot so we must have been in the only cool spot on the island. The baby pool was absolutely freezing cold all week .It was a long walk into the centre (around 30mins) which was a pain with constant moaning from our 11yr old. We could have taken a taxi but with having a 1 yr old in a pushchair who was often asleep it was easier to walk. On the whole it wasnt a bad holiday but i wouldnt be in a hurry to go back.
Good for Winter sun.
We have just returned after a weeks's stay at Las Colinas. We hired a car from the Airport which we found essential, and cheaper for getting around a relatively small island. The apartments are very large, new and basically clean. However, it can get cold in early evening, and unless you intend to go out each night, it could be cold & very quiet. (There's a charge for tv, heater and safe !) All in all, they are a good base for sight-seeing the Island. Some people just sunbathed all day long- so it depends what you like doing. Costa Teguise is o.k- quite quiet, but plenty of food places to choose from. The shower water soon ran into the other room, as it was basically a wet-room !! So you could only be 5 mins at the most !! We wouldn't return, but that's more to do with the fact that although Lanzarote is a nice, small island- once you've seen it, there's not much to re-visit...(in my opinion -I stress !)
I Wouldn't go back if it was free!
We stayed in Las Colinas for 1 week in January 2007. What can I say the apartments were clean but very basic and you have to pay for TV! the hot water lasts all of 5 minutes and although the hotel itself looks very nice you don't get the sun after 3pm due to the way in which it has been built. As for lanzarote once you have seen one volcano well you have seen them all and unless you are the type of person who enjoys a british holiday very similar to blackpool in the sun with no authenticity or no original spanish culture stay away! we have realised that it is worthwhile spending an extra few hundred pound for a true holiday experience. we actually came back less refreshed then when we went. Stay away from Lani's they gave us horrendous food poisoning, take a book a day or a PSP and make sure you hire a car.....or even better just don't go!
just perfect
dec 25 2006. we just got back from a wonderfull holiday in lanzarote.we stayed in las colinas in costa tegiise.it one our best holidays there seven of us.we has three appartments.they clean and very roomy.the towels got change three times aweek.it quite..food around tequlse was most enjoyable.we watch the fireworks over the bay on new year eve.waiting to book for next year.want to go back to las colinas.just waiting for travel agents to release xmas holiday.
Pretty good
My husband and I stayed at Las Colinas from November 23rd for a week and had a good time. The apartments are new, clean and very large and we were impressed with their value for money, we got a very cheap last minute deal. Bear in mind the weather is varied at this time of the year, the last time we came in November it rained the whole week and was quite chilly. This time, however, the weather was great, we did not have any rain and when the sun was at its hottest it was in the high 20s – although it was certainly too cold to go in the pool. It was very windy, however, which was often quite annoying, and cool in the evening. As for the resort, it is quite out of the way from the main town, roughly a 20-30 minute walk. Th resort has courtesy buses that will take you down to the beach or it's about 3 Euro in a taxi, which comes very quickly. There is not a great deal to do in Costa Teguise, at least not at this time of year, if you want night life you would be better off in Puerto del Carmen, the biggest resort on the island. Buses run there for about 4/5 Euros from a stop not far from the hotel, or it costs about €20 each way in a taxi. The buses stop running at around 9.30pm so you'll need a taxi for a late night. In Costa Teguise there are plenty of restaurants and bars but it is all predominantly British there, very difficult to find any Spanish food or tapas. But many of the tourists seemed to like this, just drinking beer and watching the football on TV seemed to be a popular pastime. Not my scene, but there you are. Evenings at the apartments I can't really comment on, as we were out every night, but it seemed to be pretty dodgy karaoke, bingo and club singing etc. There is only a small bar which serves pizzas and burgers etc, and this is where the 'entertaiment' is. Many people seemed to just stay at the hotel, eat in the bar and get dressed up for the entertainment every night. There is also a small shop next to another bar which was always empty, but the shop's prices were the same if not cheaper than the shops in town. The apartments have fully equipped kitchens with erveything you are likely to need including microwaves. To sum up, the holiday and apartments were fine for the cost and it was a good bit of cheap sun in a depressing UK month.
fantastic holiday,thanks to superb hotel
have just returned today from las colinas hotel in costa teguise, lanzarote. what can i say apart from thank you so much to the staff of the hotel for a fantastic holiday. the spacious and clean apartments were amazing and we will definately be returning. rooms were cleaned and towels changed 3 times a week. the whole place was spotless and very friendly. my husband and i were there for a fortnights relaxation and that is exactly what we got.before we left i could not find any reports on the hotel so was quite worried but was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. check it out you wont be dissapointed.
Loved Las Colinas Appartments
Just returned from these excellent appartments. Appts have shared reception/facilities with Lanzarote Paradise appartments, which are next door. Appartments very new, extremely spacious and very clean. Reception and shop/bar staff friendly and very helpful. Rooms cleaned and towels changed 3 times a week. Entertainment two nights at Lanzarote Paradise: quiz, bingo and Karaoke, DJ was good laugh. Appartments 30mins walk from centre of Costa Teguise but courtesy bus four times a day. Other shops/restaurants approx 15mins away. Taxi's to and from appartments 3 euros approximately. Waterpark just around the corner. Swimming pools excellent. Appartments were very quiet until some kids arrived, but were still relatively quiet on the whole. I would thoroughly recommend these appartments to anyone.
