I was a little let down by the look from outside the hotel because it looked a bit dodgy to be honest with you. The hotel itself needs a bit of tender love and care and some cash spent on it.
The room we were in had everything we needed, iron, ironing board, flatscreen tv, remote control, kettle, hairdryer the list goes on. Only bad thing i can say about the room is maybe it needs some money spent on decorating it aswell looks a little outdated if im being picky.
We dined in the restuarant and i must say that the food was outstanding although my steak did cost me 23 pounds i think. The staff were spot on, hard workin, friendly, polite and took good care of us throughout our stay. Special mention to a young lad called Jimbo who was a charming young man with a great sense of humour, he told us the story of his name badge and how it was taken away from him in his prime.
All in all id reconmend it to anybody its definetly VFM value for money.

Upon on first arrival, the reception area looked very nice,the receptionist was extremely helpful and very friendly. My family had booked the family room which was ok but not enough tea, coffee and biscuits for all of us and a third of a toilet roll. To me this should all be standard, I can't believe that this was a 4-star hotel, it is in need of refurbishment especially the swimming pool area and the changing room. My main complaint was the lack of staff and the service, we had to wait 20 minutes before our order was taken & then we had to ask, the same at breakfast, we had to ask for more bacon etc, to me for a 4-star hotel this should happen automatically. It's only little things and attention to detail which would have made our stay - ok to very good!
