Makeney Hall Hotel

Bar prices were outrageous,lack of attention to detail. Staff not bothered when things pointed out.

My husband arranged a night away, and decided to try the hotel near to where some friends live. They had heard that it was under new ownership and a lot of improvements had been made so we decided tio try it out.It was obvious that decoration had not finished as wet paint signs and workmen were about when we arrived, but it felt good just like a country house and we were made to feel at home from the start.We had a wonderful dinner, a lovely room overlooking the gardens and finished off with breakfast in bed.
