Originally a farmhouse, dating back to 1672, the Fieldhead is situated on the edge of Charnwood Forest just seven miles from Leicester city centre and 1 mile from Junction 22 off the M1. The hotel has a cosy bar and restaurant serving a variety of delicious meals. All 28 bedroom are en-suite with modern facilities and 14 bedrooms are situated on the ground floor.

Having stayed in many hotels both in the UK and around the world, I can honestly say this is the worst I've ever experienced. Surly, rude management who treat the guests as if they are an inconvenience. Poorly cooked, almost inedible food. Dirty, old fashioned gloomy rooms. How this hotel manages to stay in business thees days really baffles me. If you're staying in or around Looe, book anywhere else.
