Regence Hotel

We stayed three nights at the Regence in May 2006 in a twin bedded room, and had a great experience. The hotel room itself is just big enough for the two beds and the luggage. The bathroom is brand new, large and literally sparkling clean. There is an elevator (yea!) and the location is outstanding, on a pedestrian street (which means you cannot actually drive to the door with your luggage, but have to walk about half a block.) We have just returned to the UK from a 4 nights stay at the Regence [2 twin rooms], which was our base for trips into Monaco by train to see the Grand Prix Historique. We found the staff very friendly and helpful [not the French stereotype]. The rooms although small were kept very clean. The petit dejeuner was good value at just 6 euros. We found the situation in a busy pedestrianised zone with lots of bars and restaurants ideal. Although in a noisey area at night we had rear facing rooms which did not suffer from noise. We went to Nice in mid May and stayed for three nights in the Regence. The hotel was absolutely spotless and the staff were lovely and extremely helpful. The hotel was also ideally located, within walking distance of the promenade, bus and train stations and all the shops/restaurants. The only downsides were that the room itself was very small (although the bathroom was much larger than normal - and with a fantastic shower!) and there is really limited storage space. May 3-4, 2006 The Hotel Regence was extremely clean and the staff was very helpful & friendly. Although the room was small, it was all we needed for the 1 night we stayed in Nice.

My boyfriend and I live in Florence and wanted to drive up to Nice for a weekend - only about a 4 hour drive and I booked the Hotel Regence after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. It met and exceeded all of my expectations - the best location possibile... right in the pedestrian area. A 10 minute walk and you're in the flower market area and in 1 minute flat you're on the boardwalk. Since we had a car we parked at their suggestion at their 'sister' hotel the Hotel Massenet which is 3 star and about a 300 meter walk from the Hotel... more

Just back from a four-night stay - great hotel! Very clean and quiet with polite, friendly staff. Excellent central location. If really forced to find fault, I suppose there's not a lot of storage space but it was fine for the two of us, travelling light and staying the 4 nights and maybe the temperature of the hot water could have been higher - both very minor quibbles especially considering the good value cost (we booked via the Easyjet site). I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Stayed at this great hotel from 23 - 27 March 2006. All the staff were very helpful, friendly and had a good command of English although they do appreciate it if you do attempt to speak French. The hotel itself is well decorated and spotlessly clean, in a great location for shops, restaurants and the Promenade d'Anglais. We would certainly return to the Regence again and highly recommend it.

We stayed in this hotel for a week in March. Although rooms are small it was quiet, peaceful and in a brilliant location. Staff are friendly too and don't invade your space. There are loads of well priced restaurants nearby and its near bus stops and all local attractions. Good value for money too. We definately recommend it and would stay again.

Our party of four are experienced 'easyjetters'. This trip to Nice was based at The Regence Hotel, Nice for four nights. This small hotel is a gem - excellent location, clean rooms, friendly staff, very good rates (especially when booked via easyjet hotel link). Ideal for a short stay on a budget. We will definitely return and recommend to others

We found this pleasant, clean and comfortable hotel to be ideally placed for the '06 "Batteille des Fleurs". Although the Regence is situated on a busy pedestrianised street it is quiet inside, and the hotel is very well run and was a pleasant place to return to after a hectic day at the Carnival.
