Felt the staff were very attentive, and friendly. Food was excellent as was the wine. Check in staff were very helpful - nothing too much trouble. Would like to go back soon!

Rubbish i booked this as a wedding anniversery gift, what a complete was of money. The breakfasts were cold the staff rude and the room dusty. Never again. My wife cried on the way home, we have written to the manager regarding the matter and have photos as evidence. A... more

Gothic, but not a horror!
This hotel has great atmosphere, although a little "dark". At times, I felt that I was in a gothic horror story, with it's galleries, chapel and winding corridors...loved it!! It's High Victorian gothic in the main hall. My bedroom was a huge corner one in the main building, great furnishings in tune with the building. The bathroom was a little small compared to the rest of the room, but I thought just a minor point compared to all the other positives. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment as it is in the newer part in a "cafe" type room, but dinner in the Ranulph fine dining room was a treat. Again, the architecture "made" it, and the food was fine as well. Very attentive and accomplised service in the bar (which is actually a very large drawing room). It is a little way out of Crewe (taxi from the station would not cost a lot), and there is a long impressive drive up to the house. The rural location meant the car parking right outside was secure, and it is very quiet at night. It seems geared right up for weddings at weekends (would be fantastic venue) and high-end business conferences and meetings in the week. You may be able to tell that I was very impressed, and would certainly stay here again if I were in the area.
Huge rooms & huger breakfast
Only stayed one night this time, but will definately be going back! Our room was in the newer wing, but it is perfectly alright to go wandering around the original building - a stately home and a hotel in one. The terraces are a fabulous place for a sundowner or morning coffee - if you can fit one in after the enormous breakfast! We sat down at 09:00 and didn't eat again for 12 hours!
Fantastic Hotel
We had our amazing wedding at Crewe Hall last year - it is truly breathtaking. The staff are wonderful, the food is excellent. The four poster rooms are huge with all the extra comforts you desire. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel.
Fantastic Hotel
We stayed at Crewe Hall for our first anniversary and although the journey was long, it truly was worth it, for the view of the long entrance drive and the absulutely stunning hotel when we got there. Upon entering the hotel the reception was mind blowing with the ornate fireplaces, the huge candelabras and the attention to detail on the woodwork. Our room was superb with incredible views of the garden. The food in the Brasserie was to die for, I would recommend this hotel to everybody, definitely a weekend I'm going to remember.
Amazing Place
19th March 2005. We attended a Wedding in Crewe Hall. We have never been to such a wonderful place. From our arriving at reception to leaving the following day we could not fault a thing. The weather was amazing too. The food was fab' , the staff are so kind and the Hall itself is stunning. We want to go back for our anniversary next year. The four poster bedrooms are magnificent. Well worth every penny spent 10 out of 10 for everything. The Spencers @ Peter & Julies Wedding
WoW what an amazing hotel
Probably the best hotel in the North West and almost certainly the finest Restaurant I have ever eaten in. No wonder 3 Kings and Queens have stayed here!! My wife and I had a 4 Poster Suite and Dinner in The Ranulph restaurant, it was absolut perfection. I would recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone looking for a perfect getaway.
A night or two in Crewe
Fabulous hotel. The fine dining room was cosy, but not cramped, the staff attentive and the menu (and food) excellent! Our after dinner coffee (with petit fours) was served to us in the lounge, where we could sit in comfort on huge sofas. We had a room in the newer wing, the only fault we found in our room is that the bed was like rock! The stay was only marred by a power cut on the day we left, which meant that breakfast was cold and chaotic.
Do not miss the opportunity
My wife and I recently stayed at the hotel to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Staff very friendly & proffessional, food is superb. and the Royal Suite is like stepping back in time to a bygone age. Expensive yes, but without question very good value for money. We will be going back
Valentine's night embarrassment
After a wonderful evening with friends on Valentine's Night, the occasion was marred by the inattention of the receptionist who did not present my switch card for payment correctly. She claimed that it had been rejected by the bank and when asked to try again she claimed she had tried it twice. A subsequent inquiry with my bank revealed that6 the card had not been presented and that if there had been a query given the amount there would have been an automatic authorisation action. This was not so and yet the card worked perfectly well earlier in the evening and on the following day.The poor quality customer service exhibited by the clerk, spoilt what could have been an excellent evening. I am awaaiting a response to my letter from this hotel group. If it is handled appropriately then I will seek to have this e-mail removed
We love the attention to detail at Crewe hall
Although we live fairly close to Crewe Hall we still go there as a special treat. We have now been several times. Each time we have been delighted with the service and the quality of the food and accommodation. Having two very contrasting restaurants makes a stay at Crewe even more interesting. And you must go on a tour of the Hall while you are there.
