We had a family room, which was well-designed and had a futon-style folding bed as well as the double bed. Might be a bit crowded with 4 people, but great for 2 as we could watch TV in comfort!
Breakfast buffet was very good, with a range of cereal, fruit, yoghurt, breads etc - I have seen a poorer display in a far more expensive setting.
The adjacent Harvester restaurant offers a discount before 6.30, so it was worth the rush to get there in time.
Very impressed by the easy access supply of tea, coffee etc in reception which meant we could make hot drinks the way we like them. The microwave, plates etc was a real bonus: after a day at Alton Towers we did not want to have to go out for a meal, so we enjoyed a hot meal in the room on the second night.
Shall definitely use this chain again, as it is so user-friendly.
